If anyone plans on purchasing the desktop version DONT!!!! Its a scam, at this point! PikPok announced they will no longer be updating the desktop version until further notice meaning if you see Mobile game play that's much more updated the desktop version will most likely NOT have the update. Meaning you will be paying for a NONE UPDATED GAME!! SCAM!!!

Please dont get me wrong i love this game, i really do! But at this point its just unfair how big the gap between the desktop and the mobile version is. I get it that they wanted to take a break from this version, but its still just unfair. I mean the mobile version wich is mostly pay-to-win gets all the new content while i have to wait multible months for the same content? And now they are taking a break from this version, wich means that i will probably never get the friesian horse breed and barrel racing. The game is really amazing and fun, and also has lots of potentail, but i dont want to wait until they decide that they want to start working on this version again, and i also dont want a pay-to-win game wich has all the new content. I would recommend this game, but not in its current situation. Im done with it for now.

While Rival Stars is a well-made horse racing game as it presents itself as, I agree 100% with the other reviews that if you are not getting this game on sale, it is not worth it. Plus, at the time of posting, the development team as announced that they have stepped away from updating desktop to focus on their mobile version. If you bought the desktop before buying the mobile version I'd recommend not making an account. The mobile version, while has promised updates that desktop does not, mobile is purely a cash-grab. The currency system is hard to gain and it is hard to make process through the story mode without having to pay. Tons of advertisement is littered throughout the mobile version and mainly makes the game not enjoyable if you are not willing to pay or watch said ads. If you're still thinking about getting either version of the game there is tons of pros and cons to each and neither one is significantly better than the other.

Decent but at this point I can't recommend it. The devs decided to stop updating this game entirely since they can't turn it into an endless void of microtransactions like they did with the mobile version. The tack options are limited, breeding is repetitive just for a decent or unique looking horse, anything outside of actual racing is half baked but it's all repetitive. There's a story but it's just a constant "breed fast horse to beat rival horse" and then doing it over and over again until you hit the end of the story.

I cannot recommend Racing Star at this price point. I really enjoy this game, and it has a lot of potential. The racing is fun and there are many things I genuinely like about it. But I’m very disappointed with how the game is being handled. There are no updates, no bug fixes, and no signs that the developers are still working on it. The game feels stuck, and because of that, the current price doesn’t feel fair anymore. Right now, the game is not worth what it costs. If I could refund it, I would without hesitation and buy another game.

They have just said they are "taking a step back" from updating the Desktop version of this game. More money hungry devs. They are focusing on the mobile app version since they have more microtransactions on it. Friesans and all other future updates are NOT CONFIRMED to come to PC now. Disappointing. Wish I could refund.

Was fun and a good game but they will no longer be updating the PC/Desktop version. They announced that there is no confirmed roadmap or anything for us on PC because they "need a break" and to "shift focus". Don't make a PC port from mobile to here then stop updating the game, I want my money back but that ain't gonna happen. Last actual "major" update was us getting showjumping. Mobile version has everything so best to go there and play it for free. Do not buy this game nor pay for their premium or whatever paid version to get whatever they offer on mobile don't give them a cent.
