About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌

Now in English: It took me a long time to figure out whether I actually recommend this game. But I eventually came to the conclusion that, yeah, I do. My main takeaway is that this is a horror game, and it succeeds at what a horror game is supposed to do. Thanks to the visual and audio design, the game has an atmosphere, and it’s a very well-crafted one at that. The visuals and sound are basically everything here. The effects, camera style, and controls fit the setting and story perfectly. It’s simply executed incredibly well. The sound, in turn, completes the picture. What we end up with is a game that can genuinely scare you through its atmosphere. I’m not really the kind of person who is particularly sensitive to horror games, but while playing this one, I noticed that I was genuinely screaming and feeling uneasy, and sometimes even scared, despite the fact that there are save points and there’s basically nothing at stake when you lose. But thanks specifically to the sound and visuals, I was actually able to feel fear. The slow and measured pacing also contributed to that experience. Most of the time, the game isn’t rushing us anywhere, but there are enemies around, which makes you want to play carefully and stay calm. So what’s the problem if the horror part actually succeeds at its job? The problem is that the game feels empty, boring, and unintuitive, which ultimately makes it feel sluggish. Pretty much all we do is walk around, find something after a couple of hours, and move forward a little bit. Then we search for something else, and repeat the same thing over and over again. You have to find codes based on tiny clues, and by the time you find them, you’ve already forgotten where you were supposed to use them. The game is stretched out way too much because of this. On top of that, for most of the game, absolutely nothing is happening. Even the enemies are basically pointless. But what really kills it for me is having to search for some random code in some random place, only to then find another code, and then another CODE after that. What incredible gameplay. That’s ultimately where the game fell apart for me. On my first attempt, I simply couldn’t finish it in one sitting because this kind of gameplay is just exhausting. The actions required to progress the story are way too unclear. A proper, genuinely intense action sequence doesn’t start until near the end, even though something like that could have been introduced throughout the game. The game also has quite a few bugs. They aren’t critical, but there were some that still affected the experience. It was pretty funny when a robot just stood in front of a ventilation shaft and stayed there indefinitely. Other than calling it a bug, I honestly have no idea what else to call it — and it was a pretty bad one at that. Some objects, like the white tables and barrels with red lids, can simply be walked straight through. It feels a bit sloppy, but there wasn’t too much of that, so it’s not a major issue.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've played for about one hour, and I hate my experience. The controls are awkward for example what's the point of programming a double crouch with control + space + S. This is so wired that the game start with an annoying confusing tutorial to check if the players understand it. The rest is as terrible, and the tool that sparkles usage is so counter intuitive that there is an OTHER well hidden tutorial that explain how to use it. Developpers : if your game need a tuto for walking and interacting, and if this tuto is mandatory to play this game, this is a RED FLAG about how messed up your gameplay is. Consider making it more simple. So the main gameplay functionality is walking in long corridors where nothing happens, and a part as simple as this one is a mess. Your character can walk but the corridors are too long and the walk to slow, so you want to run 100% of the time. Good news you can run. Bad news : you need to keep the finger on the shift key all the time which makes it painfull AND there is an anoying zoom animation every time you start running that will make you sick. Devs, if the player always need to run, just increase the walking speed or make the corridors shorter, or make the run the default and press shift for walking. The second gameplay functionality of this game is retro menus printed on 3D surfaces. It's just basically text that's painfull to navigate and hard to read. Seriously, if you want do a text-based game, write a visual novel, there are plenty of awesome (free) tools that make is pleasant to use. Plus the consoles content is not intresting at all, and can be summarize as : 7"you need a code to open the next door", and you must type the code with a crappy interface. For the story, it's summarized this way : I got no idea who am I, I got no idea what I'm doing here, I only know that I'm on the moon and that I shoud fix some random-thing elsewhere behind a locked door. This is NOT intresting at all. This is even not a story. A story need at least a character and a plot. So in conclusion, you may buy this game, if you think that there will be better content latter on, and if you're well motivated to spend money for a headache and a bet. Or you can spend time on the other well made horror games that exists. There are tons of them. Ohh and extra crap, the game doesn't properly quit on exit.... when closed, it still run in background, consuming ressources, and accumulating play time for steam.
bro asks me to put some youtube on then throws me across the room??? these moon people need to learn some respect tut tut. (• ᴖ •。 )

9,5 / 10 Sternen
