A good short visual novel. The characters are nice and funny and the events are pretty original, sometimes odd but in a good way. I only regret there's only one gay romance and that the game is a bit short.
Na promocji zagralem 17 minut. Pewnie to wina FABULU w grze . Za stary jestem na ta gre.
I liked it when I was 16 but coming back to it the language is dated and the gameplay of school sceduling is not fun also I got to the end and didn't even get one of their endings even though I was prioritizing annie.
Turn based but entertainingly so - actually a challenge until you get at least 20 hours of game play in .
I love this game! It took a minute for the characters to grow on me but once they did I was hooked. It's a great introduction to visual novels. Looking forward to playing more games like this. :D
For the price, I would say don't buy it. Other games similar to this come much cheaper and have better story lines and characters
One of my favorite games. I totally recomend it!
The whole time I playing Roommates, I was teetering back and forth on whether or not I should give it a positive review or not. After all, it's certainly far from the worst VN I've played on Steam, but it wasn't exactly stellar either. And then the game's ending hit, and it deflated like a balloon. My 'score' for it deflated proportionately. This game keeps the best endings secret until it's finished, and that is unacceptable to me. It soured me completely on not just this game, but the creators in general. I had other games of theirs on my Wish List, but after playing this, I deleted them immediately because of how sour the 'hidden' good ending left me feeling. This game gives you goals to hit to get what you THINK is the good ending. I hit the goals given with plenty of time to spare, and so I started to focus on other things just for variety sake, only for the game to end and tell me that the goals they gave me were essentially 'make believe' goals, and I needed to keep grinding out the same stats harder to have gotten the true ending. I had plenty of time to do this if the game was honest and up front with what I needed to do. Now, if this game NEVER gave you goals at all to get an ending, and just left it up to you to figure out what each romance option liked and to put your all into it, I'd have been fine with that. But to give what seemed to have been very clear goals only for the game to essentially give you the middle finger for not knowing those goals were nonsense is unforgivable to me. A mortal sin. The ending debacle aside, Roommates is a rather straight-forward VN in all senses, which gives the player a false sense of security that the goals will be as straight-forward as the rest of the game is. The game has a very juvenile sense of 'humor,' but some of the game's scenes are rather cute or heart-warming. You will never get stuck playing this game, and you really don't have to put any effort or thought into any of your choices at all to breeze through it. Roommates isn't a ground-breaking or overly interesting VN in any regards, but at the same time, not every game needs to be a masterpiece to be worth your time. If this game hadn't had such blatant and deliberate disregard for my time, I probably would gave given it a pass. At the end of the day, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend Roommates to anyone, but if you're a big fan of VN's or the premise the game offers in general, it's certainly not the worst game in the world either. Just know what you're getting into, and beware the flagrant lie in terms of goals if you're going to play it.
It's a fun little dating sim. I enjoyed it.
