[i]Commander Babes[/i] by Norn/Miel/Cybele and Cherry Kiss Games, features a male college student Jun who was cleaning up the dean's office with his childhood friend and classmate Yui, when they broke a vase by accident. Yui ran away and Jun was left alone to clean up the mess. When the vase was broken, two beautiful female warlords from the Sengoku Period, Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi emerged from the vase. After learning that their clans have been wiped out a few hundred years ago, they decided to have Jun impregnate them so they can have children and revive their respective clans. As a nukige, it eschews plot and storyline for hentai artwork and voice acting. In these two aspects, the artwork sprites and CGs are generally good and the voice acting is also good, especially when the voice actress for Shingen Takeda has to yell commands during the Cavalry Battle to give additional variety to the story besides the usual teasing, seducing, and moaning in typical harem romantic comedies and nukiges. In a surprising twist to the usual nukige, this game also features two historical figures in feudal Japan where some parts seem far-fetched, while others seem to make sense such as Shingen Takeda being a keen and fast learner as a former strategist and battlefield commander, and Kenshin Uesugi being more solitary in nature as a former monk. There are a few cons. First, this game is rather limited in the storyline, plot, normal CGs, and background music variety. There are plenty of plot holes, inconsistencies and ludicrous storytelling throughout the story. Some of these examples are: 1. Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi's decision to have children with Jun right in the beginning after they emerge from the vase. 2. After finding themselves in modern day Japan with no knowledge of what happened to them, they completely believe absolutely everything Jun tells them about their clan being wiped out centuries ago. 3. How they were stored away inside the vase for hundreds of years was never explained. 4. Deciding to have children and yet going for other forms of sex. There are also a number of translation errors throughout the game although the storyline is still understandable. The limited number of CGs and background music also means there are only two normal CGs that the player can upload on Steam Cloud without potentially getting flagged by others for uploading inappropriate content. The same background music tends to also repeat after a few scenes or so. Lastly, the price may be a bit high at over $10. There is only one choice in the game which affects one CG, plus being a kinetic visual novel, it can be completed within 5 hours. Overall, [i]Commander Babes[/i] isn't really considered a harem romantic comedy or college life drama visual novel, as it is more about showcasing fap material since every scene and every lesson always ends up in a hentai scene one way or another. At the same time, there are still a few laughs in this game as a parody on two famous historical characters in Japan. I bought this game because I have played Norn/Miel/Cybele's earlier game [i]Delicious! Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire[/i] and some of the characters are interesting and attractive enough that I'd try out a few and support the publisher and translator. For those who are fine with adult nukiges, don't mind the various flaws in this game, wait until this game is discounted to a price that is more proportional to the playing time before buying it. Nhaaaaah! Haaaaaaaaah! Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! The contains total amount of 14 chapter, 20 gallery and 17 replayable H-scenes with 1 player choice decision that will still ended up to the same ending. the story begin with both Jun and Yui cleaning Dean's office as a punishment, then the vase broke and Yui run away expecting Jun to take responsibility for it. After that, the problem solved after Jun loss his virginity on the same day, it was so straight forward that Dean never ever dare to question about the broken vase anymore. However it was a satisfying ending. The story also describes character dialog, action, movement and feeling very precisely with limited artwork and its up to ourself to imagine it. As for slow reader like me, playing this game exceed the boundary of my imagination. I hope you didn't ended up like Jun always lost his mind and feel dizzy on every scene. and please, enjoy the game.

This is a Japanese H-game. While cleaning the dean's office as punishment for a prank you knock over a rather ancient and rare vase... and two Sengoku generals pop out. Only they are women. And they want you to help them acclimate to this new period. As well as fulfill certain needs they have discovered. Which of course you do. This is basically a kinetic novel. There is only one choice in the entire game, and it only decides where you put your "seed". While there is a lot of nudity and sex, there is mosaic censorship, if that matters to you.

i like my sexy times with waifus as much as the other person but this is just dive in and screw on the first scene type of game. im not a fan. it lacks a relationship buildup and you have nothing to work for due to the fact that both girls just met this dude and was like "hes cute, maybe i should have children to this random a$$ stranger" i see this type of game being on newgrounds for free. the animation is EH, and the art is alright. its funny how steam regulations work. you can get this game for a price and have all the h-scenes no strings attached but if you want a decent game with plot and h-scenes, steam wont have it (example: custom maid, love esquire or koikatsu party) this game lacks content and a story from the two hours i played. i dont usually want to review a game so early but i really dont care for this type of game. its just a adult rated flash game with a price.

I wanted to like this but I just couldn't. Mosaic censoring, horrendous editing, and only one choice to make during the game and it doesn't even matter. The girls are gorgeous but that's the only part I actually liked, the rest was meh. I read maybe 10% of the dialogue before I just kept hitting the space bar to skip it all and get through the game to reach the end. Didn't have to do a thing to get all of the achievements, so hooray for that. Is this game worth playing? I'd say no, but it's just not my thing. Get it if it's free or deeply discounted but don't get your hopes up too high, there's not much going for it. The MC, Jun, is an idiot, and the girls are very stereotypical for this sort of game. Meh.

The game meshes pretty well and voice actors are super good at this, I really recommend this due to the voice acting alone. The art is beautiful, plus lots of achievements, scenes and the plot is so funny I can't lmao.. The dialogues of this game are so amusing, you must see them. Plot: 10/10 Characters: 10/10. Art: 10/10. Sounds: 10/10 Overall: 10/10 Is this score biased? Yes, this game was so funny that I can't judge it without being biased. Still great though, you won't regret it. Also I swear to god I heard that voice somewhere before in anime or sth. Still can't figure out from which anime, if you know, please tell me in the comments.

Despite having multiple problems I recommend this game mainly to those who seek hentai games and those who are passionate about history. My favorite part is probably about the characters due to the contrasting personalities of both heroines. The main character however does not seem interesting or great who has problems to decide, driven only by his instincts which might lead to emotional traumas. The story about two Sengoku generals who appear in modern times (and as women no less) is interesting and entertaining especially when their personalities are clashing with the changes they perceive. This is however not well enough exploited and we are stuck with lacking context and not enough time between the +18 scenes for which the story seems to have been sacrificed. Furthermore the story could have been more interesting if we could choose only one girl (which has been hinted in the game) but instead the main character is unable to proceed this and chooses for a polygamy. The game could have used the choice so that the main character reflects why polygamy is not a good ending and why such relations are harmful such as Ernest Hemingway has explored in his Garden of Eden novel. Sure, at the end they might look happy but it makes one wonder if they will keep this bliss in the future or if he has doomed them all. The corrupted nature of polygamy is instead left to be studied by the gamers/readers but I am affraid that their concern lies somewhere else, which is rather evident. My review is a positive one but there is one point that has made me hesitating whether I should not rather write it off as a negative one. This point is the experimentation with the female identity which has been very badly explored. Instead of this we receive misogynistic comments from both the heroines and the main character. It is understandable that the heroines are from a women-unfriendly era and are thus accustomed of such views but the main character does not stress enough that women have as much potential as men (but that the current society is still trying to repulse). This has clashed with my expectations that sword-wielding women would prove to be a sign of equality in this game and instead it has been the first cause of misogynism. Furthermore it is much too simple and ridiculous that women can only attain happiness by becoming mothers and submissive to their partners which has been brought forth in a too direct and simple way in this visual novel. So I come to the conclusion that this visual novel has very badly exploited its themes but due to the originality of the concept I do recommend it to experience it once but not to be reread.
