Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 22.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

mid game overrated but good endding i guese there was some good parts in the game
很新奇的体验,主角是具有相同身份的一个群体,而不是某一个人,用7段沉浸式的旅程去了解一个故事。
Pretty good game, even in the big 2026. Yep, just a decent little game... Completely fictional and not based on any real-world events whatsoever, and certainly has no bearing on the current times. Definitely worth playing, especially now. Also, the music absolutely bangs.

I know I shouldn't judge a game based on what it isn't but there is enough present in Road 96 that it does right that makes its weakpoints sting all the worse. Characters, and their interpersonal relationships with others, stuck out to me as Road 96's greatest strength. Being audience to six weirdos and slowly learning why they're much more real and grounded than they let on was what got me through to the end. Additionally, the games art direction in both soundtrack and low-poly painted aesthetic made exploring the vingettes pleasant to the eyes and ears. What frustates me is that the narrative design does not support these characters and instead gives weight to its flimsy political commentary. This game was recommended to me by a friend because they thought I might get something out of the story, as well as its political themes. And Road 96 certainly delivers on providing a political narrative, but earnestly, what political faction is satisfied by Road 96's presentation? Conservatives are presented as explictly xenophobic and authoritarian with no real moderate identity presented. Liberals are presented as being nothing more than smug, walking-talking voting machines. Centrists are escapist doomers with no interest in the state of their nation. And the leftists are just noble terrorists. I think part of why this political flanderization irks me is because for a game so explicitly political it doesn't want to say anything real. The only whiff of in-lore policy I got was that the liberals want to move away from oil and gas, and that they want fair elections. Ok, great, so why is there an epidemic of teenagers illegally leaving the country - encouraged by their families? Why don't families leave together en masse? What is it about this country that leaves teenagers as the dominate marginalized population? Are there other factors beside age and class that influence this country's culture? I don't wanna get too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ woke guys, but if thinking about intersectionality for a moment breaks my immersion in your political narrative, maybe the political narrative sucks ass? There were other gripes I had as well. I had technical issues with lighting, dark spots being too dark, broken light sources that are known by devs but remain unpatched. I also found it weird that each run being a different child doesn't make sense when each child has most of the boons acquired from previous run (why does child 3 have a lock pick acquired 1 week ago by child 2)? Also I found the reused assets and much of the voice acting pretty egregious. Also binding the choices to the characters position becomes a nightmare design choice when you want to take in the environment, or if the character is swaying side-to-side, or god forbid running up and down hills. I think a more traditional CYOA game where you play as the 6 NPCs would have gone over much smoother, rather than this weird mess that left me wishing for something else.
