I wouldn't say it's an ending to MI series, but it's a really nice continuation! I still think Tales is my favorite game in the series though.
Lovely Stories (but really hurry and confusing ending...
Lucas Art really like to challenge Monkey Island fans with some major change of artwork after Curse.. And they still manage to keep the Monkey Island-vibe somehow. Even in this polished Picasso-ish looking adventure. Personally I wanted to experience more of the Curse-like artwork. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one:) But I still really enjoyed it!

I have updated my review, it was originally negative. The game plays great just like an oldschool point and click Monkey game.. there is no doubt there is quality here. The art style shown in the trailers doesn't do the game justice, it's much better than I ever expected. **SPOILERS:** The ending of this game is polarising, I wont lie the moment I exited that door into the alley way I left a negative review, but with context from the games creator and that the story is being told to a child, they got to shape an ending that made sense. But I can't lie.. doing all that work, getting excited for all those linking stories.. all coming together at the end just to rug pull it all away feels INCREDIBLY unfair and cheap, I was actually interested in seeing a Monkey Island 1 type of action ending, a final fight with LeChuck but nope nothing, here we are.
Tíz évesen játszottam az első résszel majd sorban a többivel ahogy megjelentek. Kicsit féltem hogy ezt elszúrják, de minden várakozásomat felülmúlta, grafika, hangulat, történet, rejtvények, karakterek minden a helyén van. Az első fejezet annyira a nosztalgiára épít hogy szó szerint kicsordult a könnyem egy-egy évtizedek óta nem látott régi szereplő megjelenésekor. Csak ajánlani tudom ezt a játékot mindenkinek aki kicsit is szereti a point and click stílust, monkey fanoknak kötelező, de aki most kóstol bele a lore-ba az is nagyon imádni fogja főleg mert a feladványok már jóval kevésbé brutálisan elmebetegek mint a régebbi epizódokban. Sok kikacsintás van a régebii epizódokra ezért érdemes azokat végigjátszani előtte a teljes élmény kedvéért. 10/10
Отличный олдскульный квест, сделанный для поклонников серии. Большое количество отсылок к старым частям, обилие юмора, местами непростые головоломки, реализованные в стиле старых квестов, интересный визуальный стиль. Поворчать можно разве что из-за неодназначного финала и слегка скомканой второй половины игры. 8/10
