If you like not having a reason to kill yourself then do NOT i repeat do NOT buy this game, the entire time playing this i have had nothing but negative things to say and complaints. In all my years of gaming I've never played a game this bad, genuinely I would rather be put in a iron maiden and thrown into the Atlantic Ocean. If i had 3 wishes one of them would be to get my $5 back i spent on this excuse for a game. $5 was way to much money to spend on this action slop of a game and I wish i could get a refund. If you value the limited time you have on this earth do not waste your hard earned money on this game. Its like if Jason Statham took a steaming hot ♥♥♥♥ and they just put it on a plate and called it a game. 0/10 capcom what happened between re5 and this bro.
I can't even leave a proper review of this game because I have not finished it since the game keeps crashing every time I try playing with my friend. How do you center a whole game around co-op and the co-op doesn't even work? This game as is is already bad, but at least I had my friend to go through with it. I don't even have that anymore. We quite literally cannot progress any further because he is stuck on a black screen and disconnecting. Even though we caught this game for 5 dollars, that was easily the worst 5 dollars ever spent. I would have much rather bought Goth Obsession Touch Adventure than this. I would ask for a refund but I unfortunately have spent too much time on this game. Don't buy this unless you want to torture yourself. It's not even fun with friends because you can't even play with friends. Play RE5, much better, and actually works.
Resident Evil 6 is one of those games where you expect it to be mediocre because of its reputation but as you finish each campaign every piece of the story slowly connects together and it feels amazing Combined with excellent storytelling, cinematic cutscenes, great character development and a very unique style it feels like a thriller movie that you can actually play 9/10
QUE JOGO CHATO DO CARALHO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The sheer staggering amount of people who just plain suck at this game and then call it bad, or haven't seen the rest of the franchise and call this "over the top action slop" really makes me laugh. This game is a blast if you actually, y'know, know how to play games. Each character's semi-unique gameplay elements definitely help shake up each of the campaigns, which all focus on a different aspect of the franchise's best hits: horror and zombies for Leon and Helena, action and Ganados/Majini/J'avo for Chris and Piers, and puzzles and bioweapons for Sherry and Jake. It's all great if you're a veteran of the franchise who doesn't get blinded by nostalgia. Most of them also get their own unique weapons with fun little mechanics to let you really style on the enemy, showcasing that bit of historical connection the franchise has with DMC: Leon gets his dual pistol Wing Shooters which let you combo auto-aim headshots as long as you have stamina, Helena gets her Hydra sawed off shotgun which has its own duck, roll, and shoot animations for critical hits, Jake gets to beat the absolute piss out of everyone with his bare hands just like his dad, I love it, and so on. Ada's section is arguably where things falter, because while it does try to combine all of the above, it completely fails to complete the theme because her co-op partner "Agent" literally only exists if you play co-op, and otherwise has no actual presence in her plotline, even to the point of barely being there for actual co-op actions. This is the real stinker of the game, imo, but by the time you reach Ada you've probably already ran the others, possibly even with a buddy, so the solo play isn't that bad. Treat it like a return to the solo form the games had before 0 or 5. Obviously the stuff with Simmons and the Connections is lame, but that's because nothing's ever gonna come out from Umbrella's shadow, and even this game acknowledges it by the end. But apparently Capcom is still trying to mystify "The Connections" even as of Requiem, which is far more deserving of the critical takes people level towards this game. I love this game for what it did and is, and if you got a friend who ALSO doesn't suck at games, you'll have a great time.
