Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Sep 7 → 3.86/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Jul 20 → 5.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Any true resident evil fan should play this game, tank controls be damned. It's beautiful, even today, and fun too. There's plenty the remake left out, so this should be a refreshing experience either way. 10/10.

Noice
inferior to the remake in almost every way
el juego es lo mejor no tiene nada malo , el mejor juego de la vida
A revolutionary step forward in resident evil broadening the scope of the franchise with bigger locations, more characters, more enemies and even the first prototype stalker in a horror game. 8/10

"Capcom didn't just rebuild the Raccoon City Police Department; they trapped us in it, welded the doors shut, and took away our ammo." Most modern remakes just put a shiny coat of paint on your childhood memories. Capcom took those memories, wrapped them in a wet gore engine, and turned them into a deeply personal psychological assault. In 1998, a zombie was a collection of blocky pixels that you shot until it stopped moving. In the RE Engine, a zombie is a wet, heavy, ungodly resilient meat-sack that absorbs three headshots, falls over, and then bites your ankle when you try to step over it ten minutes later. Every single bullet feels like a luxury item. You don’t play this game to feel powerful; you play it to negotiate how much health you're willing to lose just to cross a hallway. The level design of the RPD building is pure architectural masochism. It’s an intricate, gorgeous puzzle box where every shortcut you unlock feels like a triumph—until the heavy, rhythmic thud of combat boots starts echoing through the ceiling. Let's talk about Mr. X. He isn’t just an enemy; he’s a walking panic attack in a trench coat. The seamless loading means he doesn't respect safe rooms anymore. He forces you to make terrible, split-second compromises: do you sprint away from him and risk waking up the Lickers down the hall, or do you try to sneak past a horde of undead while his footsteps grow louder behind you? Leon’s rookie optimism and Claire’s fierce determination hold the narrative together beautifully across the dual campaigns. It runs like a dream on the Steam platform at a buttery-smooth framerate, making every flickering flashlight beam and squelching footstep feel horrifyingly real. 10/10. Gunpowder management has never given me this much existential dread.
