Neat little game about sorting (and sometimes stealing) trash in a recycling plant. It tells a few interesting stories about living in a country that is becoming more and more totalitarian during the course of the game. Gameplay at some points can become pretty hectic, but overall it's enjoyable and can be somewhat relaxing. The biggest problem of the game is the fact that you have to click and hold LMB all the time, which can often be straining on your hand. Having an option to pick up an item on a click could alleviate this issue.
I really enjoyed this game. It is a bit simple but honestly, that works really well in its favor. It is a bit like Papers, Please in terms of living in a totalitarian society, changing rules regularly, and sneaking things from your job to people. The game never gets too complex to the point where you are struggling other than the passports only level, that one kicked my ass. It still provides enough of a challenge to remain engaging. Honestly you can kind of miss a lot of the story if you aren't reading the newspaper every day and without the story a lot of the game is lost. This is fine, I just want to let people know that the newspaper is important given it is optional. My only gripes is that the game does start to drag towards the end, I think having some more rule changes would have helped as they start to peter off, the other one is that there should have been more upgrades as pretty early in the game you can max everything and then you just keep gathering tons of points that end up being useless. That said, for the price it is worth getting and supporting a solo dev. I think it deserves more attention then its gotten. If you're a fan of Papers, Please but wanted something much more managable, this game is a great buy.
If you enjoyed papers please, then please sort your paper today. Recyclic speaks loudly by what it is not saying while you progress by contrast to other games of this sort. In short, it is well designed and easy to play while tough to master type of game suitable for all ages. Watching the price of food go up day by day really hit home hard for me. Glad the main character never gets sick of peaches. If the gameplay trailer captivates you whatsoever I would say it is worthwhile checking out.
Hand drawn lil indie gem full of love and catchy game loop!!
REALLY FUN GAME AND ADDICTING TBH STARTED PLAYING IT AND FORGOT I WAS IN A CALL WITH MY MATES WOULD RATE IT u should play it tbf
A fun and meditative game, but there is definitely room to grow. I like that you have some impact on the world and some things may change as you progress (receiving a gift after completing a quest is a nice touch). While the mechanic is quite simple, it is definitely addicting. However, there are some things that could have been better. For instance, since the food doesn't perish it's extremely easy to fill up the fridge thus making it impossible to become hungry or to go to work in a bad mood. Re-balancing the prices/salary or adding a perish mechanic may make the game a bit more challenging, but, at the same time, it will give additional motivation to be more precise with the sorting. As for now, a mistake doesn't feel like a mistake - sure, you get a warning and a bit less money, but it doesn't feel like it matters. Sometimes it's hard to open/close the fridge because you can hit the items IN the fridge. When you have a lot of items it can get quite annoying. The same thing goes with the labels for the batteries - I managed to place a battery right next to the labels and I couldn't get it out of there. The battery was covered in labels and I got a fine for not sorting the battery. Maybe I missed it some point in the game (or maybe it's there, I just couldn't find it) but it would be nice to have a journal or a notebook with all the rules. It's okay if you manage to complete the game in one sitting while remembering the rules, but if you split your sessions then there is a high probability of forgetting the rules (like washing the beakers or pressing the paper). I would also appreciate if there was an option to open the Options window without returning to the main menu. Overall a nice little game, I can definitely recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of gameplay. I hope the dev will take note of the reviews and will continue on improving the game - it's quite fun :)
This is a hidden gem that should not be hidden at all. It keeps going and going, you get better at it and even automate tasks. But upgrades are not instant, as the pacing of the game also acts as a story-telling element, inviting you to notice the world around you. Gets you hooked. Also worth noting: getting support and patches.
Not even 3 hours in and already nothing to purchase.
Very simple, but gets fast-paced and quite fun! Just starting to get into some black market shenanigans, which always adds an extra kick to these kinds of time management games. The greyscale gets a bit soul-sucking at times so I only play it in small doses, but that's probably symbolic of the character's profession lol Update: Bro, the flow state you can get into when it's just a constant task stream? This game rules
really relaxing, wish there was an option to toggle hold/click when dragging items tho
