Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

From the creator of 'Plague Inc: Evolved' comes a unique and deeply engaging political/military strategic simulation.
In Rebel Inc: Escalation, the war is ‘over’ - but we all know that doesn't mean anything. In order to stabilise a war-torn country, you need to balance competing military and civilian priorities to win the hearts and minds of the people, whilst also stopping a deadly insurgency from seizing power!
Following on from the global mega hit 'Plague Inc.' with over 160 million players, Rebel Inc: Escalation offers a deeply engaging, strategic challenge inspired by the complexities and consequences of modern counter insurgency. It has received acclaim from international development experts and was even featured at a major international peace conference!

8 regions to stabilise - Deploy to wildly different strategic environments, including the gentle farms of ‘Saffron Fields’, or the impenetrable forests of ‘Distant Steppe’. Work to defend the ‘Azure Dam’ from the Insurgency, or develop unique new strategies to counter the drug trade in ‘Opium Fields’.
8 unique governors - Each one with radical new abilities to master. Choose the ‘Economist’ to receive an entire year’s income in one go or the ‘Warlord’ to train a personal militia. Field an army of heavy armour with the ‘Tank Commander’, or tap into the black-market with the ‘Smuggler’.
Hyper-realistic - Inspired by Afghanistan, the simulation is highly detailed, containing real world development initiatives and an innovative representation of counter insurgency tactics. It has been praised by the World Bank and was even featured at a major international peace conference.
Campaign Mode - Conduct large-scale operations across multiple regions. Carefully manage resources and choose unique upgrades in a persistent world with 150+ Player Tactics, Map Features and Insurgent Tactics to radically mix up gameplay!
Vs Multiplayer - Take control of the Insurgency to try and topple the government in your opponent’s Region, whilst trying to stabilise your own! Dynamically scaling difficulty ensures that players of different skill levels can have a good, challenging game.
Co-Op Multiplayer - Work together to simultaneously stabilise two separate Regions, sending soldiers and resources to your partner to achieve your goals. Or jump into a Co-Op Campaign of escalating difficulty.
Challenge Mode - Compete against the Steam Community on randomised Weekly Challenges, including an extra hard mode for the best of the best.
Custom Scenarios & Scenario Creator - Explore a world of fresh new ways to play with official and community created Scenarios, or develop your own share them with other players via Steam Workshop. Who said Nation Building was hard?
Advanced civilian and military AI - Sophisticated narrative algorithms model the needs of local populations, while deadly insurgent attacks put constant pressure on your operation.
Gorgeous Graphics - Stabilise a beautifully rendered 3D world that responds to your actions and thrives as you provide jobs and services. Drone cams and civilian TV channels bring your operation to life and show you what's happening on the ground.
Rebel Inc: Escalation builds on the original critically acclaimed gameplay of Rebel Inc. with multiple significant, all-new features, enhanced music, improved 3D graphics for PC/Mac, online multiplayer and steam workshop support.
An important note: Although a fictional game, Rebel Inc. looks at important real world issues and we have made every effort to deal with them sensitively. The game has been extensively researched and has been developed in cooperation with leading regional politicians, business people and journalists as well as international charities, experts and governments.

Absolutely love the game, only suggestions would be to add multiplayer components like stabilizing the same region together and making custom map support would really increase the replay-ability of the game.

It's like the US military is trauma dumping about their experiences in the Middle East with this game and after playing through it, I can honestly respect the level of restraint necessary not to glass the whole place. You'd think there's a body count where 1, the locals realize that the insurgents' KDA ratio would make a dodo take pity on them and 2, they simply run out of bodies to throw at you but in that, the game is true to its inspiration. This goes so far as to imitate its failings as well: you cooperate and invest into the people who cooperate and invest in you, and shoot the ones who want to shoot you, for as long as you must to either make peace with them or shoo them our of the region, but unlike the original, here you can actually win. This is arguably the most complicated whack-a-mole you'll ever play - but at this price point, you get what you paid for, and I had my fun.
South Sudan simulator
Хороший симулятор Афганистана
Тихо, не спеша, без суеты бомбил горных шайтанов и случайно (нет) вь3бал орешником по мирняку. К счастью никто из сторонников моего губернаторства не пострадал, а вот противники...
I may not be an avid strategy game player but Rebel Inc is one of my favorite strategy games. I love the unique setting/premise and I really like the game's take on asymmetrical warfare. I also think the plague inc hexagonal upgrade format really suits this type of singleplayer RTS well. The meat of the game is in balancing your budget between the needs of the people and fighting the insurgents as the game state evolves. It's so satisfying watching the civilian initiatives roll out over the whole zone and seeing everything get a little bit greener and roads get repaved. Much more interesting to look at than plague inc's red splotches. I appreciate that fighting the insurgents is difficult, but on the higher difficulties not noticing something small could undo your whole line of defence and lose you the game. Especially when insurgents can silently slip into new zones. The end result of this on the highest difficulty is the player being hyper vigilant about what the insurgents are doing, pausing the game every 3 seconds to make sure they are able to pre-empt an insurgent movement. The hard decisions and resource allocation also get more difficult, which is good, but the hyper-vigilant gameplay of just Watching them is not fun to me. I don't like how most of the unlockable governor's gimmicks make them straight up worse than just running the civil servant. Their unique upgrades usually have some dramatic downside to buying it, meaning you almost never interact with the unique aspect of the governor if you're trying to win. Also if you're just playing the main game on the base maps, every game will be the same in terms of the order you get most upgrades. You'll need to play the other modes to really shake things up. I do wish there could be more variation in what is effective to do in the main game. But at the end of the day the game is unfortunately blatant pro US Imperialism propaganda. Even though you are occasionally incentivized to do evil stuff with pop-up decisions, everything else in the game enforces the idea that you (a province of the US puppet state post Afghanistan invasion) are a force of good and belong in the region. The end game is to make everyone like you by gradually injecting billions of dollars into the region's infrastructure and materially improve peoples' lives. Funnily enough the US did actually do this in post-WWII Japan and post-Korean War South Korea and it worked very well! But we most certainly did not do this in Afghanistan. So if you do decide to buy this game, keep in mind that you are experiencing an alternate telling of history more convenient to the Department of State than ours. Great game aside from that.
