Some say Cave story is the "Grandfather" of indie games, But many forget it's also the "Grandfather" of making Attractive indie game baddies for nerds everywhere to simp for since it came out.
one of the first and best games I've played during my childhood on the wii. Cave Story is amazing and i will never forget about it.
the update did something I didn't think was possible and made an old 2d indie game weirdly slow for absolutely no reason
I love this game, I first played it through the psp emulator from the homebrew section years back. I was really excited when I found out it was on steam! The graphics look awesome and the music takes me back :)
All of my weapons de-levelling when I get hit is very fun. I really love having to grind them back up every time I get hit. I especially love how if I get hit in a boss fight the weapon I was using becomes useless for the rest of the fight.
MUCHO MÁS que una simple "historia de cueva", buenísimo, se lo voy a recomendar a absolutamente TODOS mis amigos porque esta de aquí es una obra maestra. Háganle una traducción al español oficial por favor, no sean como Toby Fox...
The godfather of indie games! :D
I have no idea how many hours between the different versions of Cave Story I've played. Think it all started with the WiiWare version. Amazing game to come back to and play through over and over.
I really tried to enjoy this game. This is an amazing story with some of the worst gameplay ive ever experienced. The difficulty jumps and the unskippable cutscenes before every boss fight do not help.
Why did the new updated version not have 4:3 support? Cave Story has been 4:3 since it first came out, but now its instead 16:9 only, doesn't even work for doukutsu rs if you want other aspect ratios requiring you to get the needed data files from the Switch version.
