Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Devs, please complete the trilogy and remake Shadows Over Riva next!!
Add me to this list of millions of people asking for a neutral review option. I really wanted to like this; i've had an itch to play some Might and Magic type games and i thought that this might hit sooth that ache... It did not. Despite being a refreshed version of a classic game a lot of it still felt pretty bad: You cant tag skills/spells that you know you want to use every level up: ok, i can take a screenshot before i confirm, fine, easy enough workaround. Can only use vendors on certain days: surely this dated design choice could have been removed. The dice rolls are absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: failed a 98% chance of success dice roll 4x in a row in the same combat without reloading (maybe there was a competing roll that never got shown, but on the creature i was casting on, it showed as 98% chance of success). You WILL lose people if you use auto battle, just don't. This is a "me" error, but you really have to read everything all the time, i ended up restarting after robbing vendors for an hour because i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and didn't realize that swords =/= two-handers, even though an axe is an axe, no matter if it needs two hands to use or not. It takes FOREVER to go anywhere, most of your playtime, at least as far as ive gotten, is spent in camp (though it is nice to have the option to remove hunger, thirst, degradation of weapons). "mana", or AE as it is called in game, also takes forever to regenerate, rendering much of magic both over-powered and under-powered; it can be stupid powerful and clutch, but the opportunity cost for a dedicated caster just doesn't seem worth it, maybe that changes in end game. Control magic seemed far more useful. Speaking of magic...the game allows you to cast combat magic (with user selected empowering) even if you don't have the AE, however...it'll just not do anything and still eat your AE without warming you that you don't have the resources. The world really feels dead as far as you being the main character goes. Sure, for verisimilitude OFC most people wont know WTF you are talking about when you ask them about the main quest, but for a game, it just feel like its all filler to waste time while you look for the one person that can actually help with progress. Lack of fast travel is rough; I am going to be a bit more cruel to remake than i would for the original as that type of option simple wasn't done back in the day, but for a modern remake, being forced into monotonous, repetitious, and arduous, schlepping back and forth just makes me feel like my time could be better spent doing other games. There are a lot of other small irritations with the UI that are really a product of it's age, I knew that would be the case before i started. All in all, i think that it could have been a lot of fun, but there is so much time wasted on trivial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that it makes it really hard to enjoy the actual game. I remember that being the style at the time, but man is it frustrating right now. It is clear that a lot of time and love was spent remaking this game, but for me, it just didn't land, which sucks doubly as i somehow missed it when it was new, and am perhaps too spoiled now to overlook the numerous tiny irritations that might get in the way of an otherwise decent story.

Schade.
Realms of Arkania: Star Trail is a CRPG that is old school in every sense of the word. Recommended only for those who enjoy CRPGs from the 80s and 90s, like Wasteland 1 and the SSI Dark Sun games. Star Trail is pretty good, as long as you have patience, maintain multiple save files, and use a guide. There's a guide on Youtube by Stordyr Gaming that covers the entire game. I noticed some jankiness in the game's battles, but setting the battle speed to 4x fixed the problem. Also, the game's most recent version is available under Steam Properties and is called betadev. It seems to be the best version.
I tried liking this but it's not happening, i had to decide either to play this or the other Realms of Arkania (Blade of Destiny). Not sure how similar they are. Playing was only in first-person view, there was no other option. The game seemed to have potential which is why i wanted to play it. However, the controls feel confusing, it's hard to navigate the map. Conversations with NPCs are very boring, it's the same with 90% of them and the topics are all the same. It can be overlooked but the animations are also bad. Companions or party members, are just pictures with stats. You can't talk to them. Whether you recruit an NPC in the wild or make one yourself, it's the same, doesn't make any difference, except for stats i guess. Could have been more fun if there were unique conversations with them but as the player there's no unique Avatar (PC) representing you. The only time you see all party members is in combat. I'm sure some people would like this and wouldn't mind all that's mentioned before.
Has more bugs than Planet Klendathu.
insgesamt in ordnung.
I played the original to death as a kid in the 90ies. - This is horrible garbage - The original was horrible garbage too, but in lower res - The pen & paper is and always will be a war crime 10/10 will keep playing because I hate myself and must suffer
