Game Over, Game Over , Game Over.
Re:Turn 2: Runaway shifts the series toward a more hostile environment where the train itself acts as an active antagonist tracking your movements. Persistent monster threats ensure that every quiet moment is laden with tension, marking a stark departure from the primarily static puzzle-solving focus found in the original entry. Voice acting and polished cutscenes elevate the narrative presentation, making the characters' descent into madness feel far more grounded and immediate. These heightened production values successfully bridge the gap between the player and the trauma unfolding, ensuring that the aftermath of the previous journey resonates with much greater emotional weight. Exploration revolves around utilising tools like the rockhammer and various keys to unlock blocked paths across the train and its surrounding areas. Manual save points become vital necessities during these segments, forcing you to calculate your route carefully before venturing into the darker, more unpredictable sections of the map. Integrating the UV lens allows for the discovery of hidden secrets, though equipping this item temporarily halts your ability to perform other actions. Such restrictions create momentary pacing hurdles, yet the clever way these secrets are woven into the world makes the extra effort feel rewarding rather than purely tedious. Atmospheric consistency is anchored by recurring Teru Teru Bozu dolls that haunt the environments with an eerie, ever-present gaze. While the shift toward survival-focused horror is largely successful, certain environmental riddles like the three-door room rely too heavily on trial-and-error due to a disappointing lack of discernible logical clues. Managing inventory and essential tools while fleeing from pursuing monsters creates moments of intense, sometimes frustrating, friction during high-stress encounters. These survival segments require disciplined stamina management and frequent use of hiding spots to avoid lethal failure, turning what could be simple pathfinding into a desperate struggle for survival. Overall, the monster threats and survival mechanics synthesise into a more engaging experience that capitalises on psychological dread. Unclear puzzle feedback periodically hampers the flow during dangerous situations, yet the strengthened focus on atmospheric horror and the direct narrative continuation provide a tense journey that effectively builds upon its predecessor.
Um bom joguinho de terror 2D.
RECENSIONE DI RE:TURN

Continua da qui

Parte 2 - Recensione di Re:Turn 2, Runaway

Pro:
I really enjoyed the sequel, thank you writer and all involved in the game's creation. The puzzles, again, I loved them, and they gave me a good sense of fulfillment when i solved them on my own. And again, lovely character designs and gorgeous pixel graphics. I enjoyed the story allot, i was in a proper mood to consume it. it was a good relaxation break for me. I was so happy for Saki, both endings were a good resolution, but especially the best ending, i feel worry free now. Thank you to the author and developers for the happy ending, I'm satisfied and recommend this game and the prequel to others.
I really enjoyed the first part of the game, which is why I decided to purchase the second half. Overall, I liked the experience, but I was disappointed with the endings. While we do find out why Ayumi became demonic, the story doesn’t clearly explain why she was chosen to be tricked by the devil in the first place, or why she specifically uses Saki’s friends. Her side of the story feels underdeveloped and not very well connected to the rest of the plot. Because Ayumi is also a victim, I was hoping the true ending would explore whether there was another way to save everyone — not just Saki’s friends and the cat, but also offer some kind of peace or resolution for Ayumi’s soul. Instead, the true ending feels incomplete and slightly illogical, as if an important part of the narrative is missing. Honestly, this feels like a storyline that would work better as a DLC or an additional chapter to fully explain Ayumi’s role and motivations. As it stands, the second half of the game doesn’t quite feel logical enough as a final conclusion, which is a shame because everything else was strong.
I really like this Series. Loved the story, good scares and Pretty good puzzles. Though I do wish there was Voice actors for the First one also, as it did help put an personality on the characters a bit better. But overall I am happy with them and feel these games are worth the Money. Well spend Money in my opinion. Overall Score. 8,5/10. Really good game
Absolutely in love with this game. First time I cried this year, and it was on one of the endings. Compelling narrative, and fun puzzles. Sure, the first one was more fun in that sense, but I understand that in this game we were more in a revenge ark. I wish the first game also had voice acting, this one slayed, the voice actors really did their best. I'm glad you sorted out a few bugs this game previously had, because now it runs smoothly. Cheers, and I hope to see more titles from you, even if it isn't Re:Turn related.
Runaway porwało mnie bardziej niż pierwowzór. Autorzy z Red Ego Games dołożyli kilka nowych mechanik, a postaci dostały voiceovery. Trzon rozgrywki pozostał jednak bez zmian. Głównie chodzimy, eksplorujemy i używamy przedmiotów, by rozwiązać proste zagadki. Względem poprzedniej części nastąpiła w sumie jedna spora zmiana. One Way Trip było straszliwie wręcz przegadane. I o to właśnie chodzi.
