Kathy Rain: Director's Cut

[h1] Genre [/h1] Ein Klassisches Detective Mystery Point & Click Adventure [h1] Story [/h1] Wir spielen die angehende Journalistin Kathy Rain. Unser Großvater ist gerade gestorben. Zu seinen Lebzeiten war unser Großvater am Ende durch einen Vorfall Wahnsinnig geworden & nicht mehr er selbst. Wir wollen nun herausfinden was es mit der Vergangenheit unseres Großvaters auf sich hat und geraten in ein Netz aus Verwirrungen. Können wir es schaffen den Fall zu lösen? [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Es spielt sich sehr angenehm, halt wie ein klassisches Point & Click Adventure aus den 90ern. Mit Ausnahme das man hier lediglich nur eine Taste benötigt um alles zu machen (anschauen, benutzen usw.). Find ich immer besser als wenn man irgendwo im Bildschirm 9 oder 10 Möglichkeiten hat (anschauen, benutzen, spreche mit usw.). Wir haben hier mehrere Schauplätze die wir nach & nach freischalten. Wie Genre üblich, sammeln wir allerhand Gegenstände ein, benutzen diese an anderer Stelle wieder, reden mit verschiedenen Personen & lösen das ein oder andere Rätsel. Die Rätsel fand ich allesamt gut lösbar ohne das man Groß & Lang Überlegen musste um weiter zu kommen. Die Pixel Grafik sieht sehr gut aus & das Voice Acting ist Fantastisch. Auch die Deutsche Text Übersetzung ist super gelungen [h1] Achievement Schwierigkeit 4/10 [/h1] Es gibt insgesamt 40 Erfolge. Wie Genre üblich sind viele recht Kryptisch und man kommt in vielen Fällen selber gar nicht drauf oder nur durch Zufall. Es gibt aber einen sehr guten Guide in der Community falls man Hilfe benötigt [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Story ist sehr gut gelungen + Gute Atmosphäre + Hübsche Pixel Optik + Nette Rätsel + Gutes Voice Acting + Gute Deutsche Text Übersetzung + Achievements [h1] Fazit [/h1] Ein wirklich Fantastisches Mystery Point & Click Adventure mit Hübscher Pixel Grafik, netten Rätseln, Guter Story & Gutem Voice Acting. Mich hat das Spiel von Anfang bis zum Ende sehr gefesselt und ich freue mich schon auf Teil 2, den ich bald auch noch spielen werde. Однозначно рекомендую к прохождению, ожидайте, конечно, развязки с религиозной/мистической тематикой, однако в целом игре это можно простить. Есть некоторые не закрытые темы, о которых хотелось бы узнать больше, но для игры за, простите, 100 рублей по скидке, это все простительно. С удовольствием провела пять часов, на некоторых загадках можно было бы немного потупить, но в целом нет ничего не решаемого, все логично и радует то, что игра тебя не направляет, а за оригинальные поступки - поощряет достижениями.

Don't get me wrong — Kathy Rain is a wonderful game. A great detective adventure with an occult flavour and a likable protagonist. But this Director's Cut is a completely pointless and unnecessary. It doesn't add anything fundamentally new to the game, and it drags out sections that were already good as they were. The whole set of changes between the original game and the DC would've been enough for a small update or a bonus DLC. Instead, we got an entire separate game that costs one and a half times as much as the original.

7分不到水平的作品。 剧情稀烂，操作麻烦，走路像蜗牛爬。 原版也是16年出的，这还是21年的加强版，操作别扭的像上个世纪作品。 游戏悬疑成分相当弱，越往后越是暴露剧情短板，搞半天纯特么怪力乱神。 至于解谜难度，总体算是中等，没有特别难的地方。但是个别成就很容易错过。 除了机车少女的人设比较少见，没发现太多亮点。

I don't know about this one. It's not a bad game, but it's not great either. I am not a big fan of the Kathy character. Some puzzles were fine, while others were not. There is a lot of going back and forth A LOT, and at the end, the story is not really that good. 5/10

Interactive mystery book. Your problem is to use items in right places and solve puzzles. Most of puzzles are pretty easy and logical - but there are bit harder also in mix. Ending stays bit mysterous ... No bugs - and graphics are "stylish". Voice acting is okais/good. Took me about 10 hours to finnish - I don't see reason repeat game. If you have playd Zak McKracken and other point and click adventure games - you might llike from this.

This was a great point & click game! Kathy is a fun protagonist- like if Daria rode a motorcycle and smoked cigarettes. I enjoyed the story and the writing. I was never completely stumped on a puzzle, but they weren't a breeze either. I really liked that many of the achievements were playful and not always related to the story. I could see myself replaying in the future for sure!

I wish Kathy and Eileen would just kiss already

I'm not a point-and-click fan, but this game really got me hooked. I was surprised that I finished both parts almost in one sitting(taken from the review of the second part). The plot is really interesting and not annoying, it still a detective genre and "secrets of town" type of plot, but not stereotypical one.In this part, plot is presented in a generally understandable way for those who carefully went through the game, unlike slightly confusing second part. Characters feel more than just cardboard cutouts for the interior, but like real people, even those who only have a couple of lines of text in the plot. Bike customization is a nice bonus to everything that's going on) I recommend checking out this series of games (at least because its so good, that it inspired me to choose the topic of my thesis and put that game into it).
