Прекрасная игра: сочетание градостроения с видом сбоку и карточного сражения. Ничего похожего не видел. A wonderful game: a combination of city-building from a side view and a card game. I've never seen anything like it.
There's a lot of reviews giving negative with only 1-2 hours of gameplay. It honestly doesn't feel like a fair assessment. Mine's no better at only 5 hours in, but it definitely did NOT feel as stressful as some of these other players have been saying. That said, it's not the greatest game ever. I did feel myself becoming bored with a rinse-and-repeat situation of how I SHOULD play the game, but it didn't make it terrible. If I could give this a sideways thumb, I would. 6/10 for me.
fun cute tower def game. Would recommend for a mouse guard lover or just want a nice game to play for a few weekends
Интересный ТД/карточный рогалик, но чересчур сильно менялся в балансе с каждым патчем, и я не уверен, что финальная версия = лучшая.
It's okay i guess.
This is a fun and engaging city builder that's consumable in bite sized chunks in under an hour. There's nuance in how to play, and getting some of the harder challenges and achievements mostly feels worthwhile. Good for 80 hours or so of fun.
Cute style but this is one of the most stressful, chaotic card battlers I’ve played. It tries to be a deckbuilder while simultaneously pretending it’s real-time city management, and the result is pure sensory overload. Waves spawn from every direction, your deck is constantly begging to be rerolled, and in between all that you’re also frantically pressing buttons on already-established buildings like some kind of overworked dispatcher in a collapsing theme park. At first it *looks* like a thoughtful game about timing and strategy, but it quickly devolves into “click faster, think later.” It’s a jack-of-all-trades situation—deckbuilder, real-time defense, builder sim—except it never really masters any of them. Instead, it stacks systems on top of each other until they start screaming for attention. The UI and controls don’t help either; they feel like they were designed for a calmer game that this one absolutely refuses to be. So you end up juggling rerolls, waves, and building interactions in a constant state of controlled panic. Cool idea on paper, but in practice it’s a hectic mash-up that tries to do everything at once and ends up doing none of it cleanly. Passable game, memorable mostly for how loudly it demands your attention at all times. 6/10 - passable, there are many other great games.
Ratropolis is a really interesting mix of real-time strategy, deckbuilding, and city defense, and overall I had a very good time with it. The concept is honestly great. You build and defend a rat city against waves of enemies using a real-time card system, and it creates a very intense and fast-paced gameplay loop. It’s constantly about managing your deck, your economy, and your defenses at the same time, which makes every run feel pretty dynamic. The gameplay loop is addictive. There’s a good sense of progression with unlocking new cards, leaders, and builds over time. It’s one of those games where you always feel like you want to try “one more run”. Visually, it has a charming style. It’s not a AAA-looking game, but the art direction works well for what it is. The different biomes and the overall presentation give it a lot of personality. Where the game can struggle a bit is in repetition. After a while, you start to notice that runs can feel quite similar, especially once you understand the core strategies. The real-time aspect is fun, but it can also become a bit overwhelming or messy during bigger fights, where things get harder to fully control. There is also a learning curve. It’s not always immediately clear what the most optimal decisions are, and the game can feel a bit punishing early on until you understand how everything connects. Overall though, Ratropolis is a very solid indie game with a strong identity. It’s addictive, original, and very satisfying in short bursts, even if it can get a bit repetitive over time. Pros: Unique mix of real-time strategy and deckbuilding Addictive gameplay loop (“one more run” effect) Good sense of progression and unlocks Charming art style and strong identity Fast-paced and engaging decision making Cons: Can become repetitive after extended play Can get chaotic and hard to read in late-game fights Steep learning curve at the beginning
