It's WWII. You're a general sitting in a tent. All you have is a map, and a radio. Can you win the battle? Radio General is a unique strategy game where you interact with your units over the radio using speech recognition. Test your mettle and relive famous battles as a WWII general.

Very fun game.
CANNY FUN
Cool
The game is pretty good, if you like to command units in a small setting. Operations are very limited and you take care of very few units compared to other games like Steel Division II. The voice commands don´t work at all, only during the tutorial you might get a few hits but in general you will end up using the mouse which is fine and works well. What makes this game shine is the personal interaction with units. You can award medals and upgrades but the best part is that every fallen soldier has a name, which to me is very important. In the end, you even have to write letters to families of fallen soldiers which is another great feature. "Dear mam, we are sorry to inform you that your beloved son has died because I misrouted him right into enemy machine gun fire. On his retreat, his heavily wounded body got shredded into pieces by artillery shells from friendly fire but we were able to identify his head and give his remains a proper burial. The death of a hero."

It would be a nice game and I like it whenever it works. Sadly, the most reliable function in the game is to crash it by pressing SPACE and other parts of the game, like video sequences, just crash regularly. So the real opponent in the game is the low chance to finish an entire battle without a crash, which would then require you to restart the battle.
How to you make a game with voice commands and have them be worst then Endwar that came out in 2008. I was hoping this was gonna scratch that armchair general itch for a game. But alas you can't get voice to work on last bit of call/ anything that has location in it.
its Canada I'm Canada I like it I'm just stupid
radio commander has better ai on hard mode and on all other modes than this game, no matter how many troops you have someone or everyone will withdrawl and the normandy mission is impossible you dont even get to choose your own troops like the other missions
Good, but the tutorial has a lot of voice recognition bugs that can drive you mad, but the normal campaign is working better for now..
