Despite the majority possibly thinking this was not enough time to evaluate.. buying and refunding in 12mins was ample time. Certainly enough time to see how boring and underwhelming it was. It was only a sale price that made me buy it, but not enough to keep it. Constantly falling off the tracks and dying got irritating real fast. Not enough variation in track design or aethetics. If mario kart came out and each track looked the same it would bomb real fast. So why a dev would made a race game with it's samey look and feel is a mystery to me.
Second best hovercraft tube racing game.
DK1/2-old game with DEAD MP... the game itself is right now pretty much locked to singleplayer, because the MP servers are offline! Graphics are like you can expect from a REEEALLY early VR game with graphics done by coders... other than that, it even supports my HDK1.4 natively, without SteamVR (most titles with an OSVR badge actually rely on the SteamVR-OSVR driver, and chances are that ANY vive-supported game will also run...) But without MP this game is nothing i can recommend... Overall rating: 4.5/10
It's fun
I purchased this game while it was still in beta and as I said to the developers as I requested the key transfer to steam, "Radial-G : Racing Revolved is the best VR game". It still holds true that Radial-G is still the most fun that I've had in VR. I enjoy this game everytime I find a few minutes to play. Personally, I don't play multiplayer games. I like the single player experience especially where combat is a factor. I don't mind bots but I just never like running in to that one punk that likes to pick a vendetta. It breaks the immersion for me. Overall, I whole heartedly recommend this game to everyone. Most of my friends have been over to play it and while many VR experiences make my friends sick, Radial-G does not and everyone leaves having had a great time.
Love this game it's fun has a great sense of speed. Would LOVE to see it take off more and people playing in Muti-player more!
To start with I am a huge fan of the WipeOut series and REDout. I really enjoy this game, bought thinking it may be somewhat similar to above mentioned titles but actually quite different, has same sort of wipeout modes but the actual racing tracks are very different in the sense that it is (so far as I have played) cylindrical track you stick to, rather than running off the track or bumping into sides there are traps on the track. Avoid anything red and go for everything green sure fire way to win haha. Combat racing im struggling with but I remember the same issue with Wipeout HD until I got used to it. I use Xbox controller, ships handle very smooth with it & I find it significantly easier controlling than I do with Formula Fusion, (I although I suppose I should revisit that game to see if any of the patches have made the game a little more bearable for me.) I can forsee myself spending hours on this game and is well worth the price of £7.49 in my opinion.
No steering wheel or gamepad support even though they claim there is, absolute waste of time can't even navigate the menu or do anything. Why make a racing game withput steering wheel support? And why claim gamepad support when it's totally broken?
Well, what can i say... Its freaky-good playing this in VR. looks great, incredible, fast, utterly mindbending cannot reccomend this enough puts me in mind of the old wipeout series of games
I bought this game strictly off the basis of it being a VR racing game and the reviews being "mostly positive". I am honestly not sure if those reviewers even played the same game as I did. Every track looks the same and the action is nowhere near as exciting as the trailer and screenshots would have you suggest. Save your money and get GRIP instead.
