About
Compete in the Galactic Cup championship and unlock elite ranks. Test your skills across four distinct race types: chase the ultimate victory in Laps, beat the clock in Time Trial, outlast the countdown in Elimination, or push your reflexes in the hyper-fast Speed Up mode.
This isn't traditional racing. The track is just as dangerous as your rivals. Race through extreme environments with loops, wall-rides, and huge vertical drops. Master high-speed drifting, because one mistake means total destruction.
Your dart is your weapon. Visit the garage to upgrade and customize your machine. Improve your Top Speed, Acceleration, Boost, and Handling to match upcoming tracks. Then, choose your hull design and paint job to stand out in the dark of space.
Dodge obstacles and race on the edge of control. Play on a standard monitor for arcade precision, or choose VR mode for ultimate immersion, where you physically grab virtual levers to control engine thrust. Use the Boost for explosive speed, but watch your gauge so you don't run out of power.
Ready to take on the galaxy? Grab Dart Racer and defy gravity!

I am writing a preliminary review for the VR aspect of this game as it is the only reason I bought it. The developers have cut no corners with this game, and while the graphics are retro inspired it is a style choice and every option and quality nuance you could want from a game is here. The VR controls for this game are entirely unique and very intuitive. You rotate both of your wrists inward in virtual space to engage the throttle and turn by decreasing the power to one of the engines by rotating your wrist outwards. It takes about 15 mins to get the hang of, but once you do the controls seem to melt away and you feel a seamless connection with the track, this is the sign of a great racing/VR game and would only be possible in this medium. Massive thanks to the talented developers for releasing a quality product that moves VR forward. Obviously this is a strong recommend.
Insanely fun and one of the best Early Access entries I've forked my money over. In a field of sci-fi racers, there are definitely far and few inbetween, and this game (so far, as Early Access goes) is a delightful addition to the roster. I was honestly expecting a particularly arcade style feel, (BallsiticNG actually feels way crazier than this game does) but the controls actually feel immersive enough to fulfill what I imagine an anti-gravity racer should feel like. Loads of fun and only took a few stints to get a feel for the stock Darts before upgrading them to feel more like they should, and it feels awesome. From someone who's been in love with sci-fi racers for as long as I can remember--and that includes practically every F-Zero game, the Extreme-G series all the way through XGRA, JetMoto, and the infamous WipeOut series, as well as the handful of overlooked, somewhat forgotten oddities like Kinetica, this game easily matches the much needed soul and spirit of what I've been looking for, for a long, long time. I hope it finds its way to anyone reading this review. I cannot wait to see what bright, amazing future the devs have in store for this.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/tV5_dpBksZE I bought this game on the Meta Quest (stand-alone). I liked it so much and it's so cheap that I decided to buy it again on its Steam store EA release. It also happens to be a fun arcade pod-racing game. Honestly, per usual, the Steam store version is the premier version, but if I'm being honest, the Meta Quest stand-alone version isn't too far behind. I think the Steam store version has a higher resolution and runs better. However, they are almost on par with each other. Still, for only $10 bucks and 20% off on release, it's difficult to complain. If you ever wanted pod racing in VR then you can't go wrong here. There's also more than enough content here for the listed price. By default, the steering method in VR is the "twist" which means that you twist your wrists to throttle. You twist them both inward to max throttle, but then twist the other way in order to steer. It takes a while but eventually you get used to it and it is immersive. However, I prefer the old virtual steering wheel. I just think you have a level of control that just isn't possible any other way (besides gamepad). But I'm happy the dev lets you play the game the way you want. Game is running on the Unreal Engine 5.7. Game ran smoothly for me at a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any issues or bugs. My only complaint is that the AI will push you off the track rather easily, but it may be a skill issue. You can play this game comfortably seated. Rate 7.5/10. Off to a great start in Early Access!
I bought this game! Strongly recommend! Handling system is spot on, very fluid, easy to grasp but still challanging. There's quite a few tracks, multiple vehicles and great music. Especially worth it considering the price.
Fun little racing game, NOW THIS IS PODRACING!!!
The game feels a bit too "floaty." Now, I know it is an AG racer and the vehicles float, I played a few, but hear me out. Driving is fine, turning is fine (mostly), but the physics are not. What am I supposed to find fun about being ping-ponged into a wall anytime an opponent touches me? Collisions with walls or other racers fling you all over the place, with no real recovery option other than letting it happen for a second. Not that big of a deal, right? Then there are the ship's interactions with the track. This is an AG racer; ships should "magnetize" to the track in some way to prevent you from flying off at every hill or bump. This game does that, but not really at the same time. Crest a hill in a specific way and you'll fly off the track. I don't know how it happened, but I managed to do it twice in a single race. Side shunting. Why? It's not needed, and it serves no real function since you can make most turns without slowing down. All it does is make your craft handle weirdly for a bit (if it doesn't shoot you into a wall or off the track). AI speed vs. you. Even at top speed, driving flawlessly and boosting nonstop, the AI in front of me kept gaining distance. Balance issue? Better ship than the one I had? Could be, but it's unlikely since I had the same ship. Is it because I was not upgraded? Maybe, but then again if you need to be upgraded to get first, that's bad. Could be better, could be worse. Overall: 5/10. Try it. If you like it, good for you. I'll give it another try later and see if they iron out some of these issues.
We need HOTAS-Support for precise driving please !!!
EXXXTREME! as advertised
