So, while I never got to attend camp, a lot of my friends did, so sometimes I'd stop by camp to help them on special occasions, such as safe halloween where they neede volunteers for extra help. It always looked like a lot of fun and I really regretted that I never got to have the full camp experience when I was younger. This game finally let me have a bit more taste for what camp might have been like. It was absolutely charming and magical in that way with plenty of "awwwww" moments through out that had me a bit misty eyed. Even better, this is the sequal to psy high, and it continues the excellent story of the first in a strong stand alone tale taking place a year or two later. Some of the characters from the first appear, with many new faces appearing. It was wonderful to see my protaganist from years ago return and see how the character evolved as the story continued. There were a few places where I wished the story wasn't so all this or all that, where there'd be some middle ground to strive for, but overall, I'd definetly recommend this to anyone who loves choose your adventure, dreamed of or went to camp, and longs for a bit of magic. I really hope the author does a third book in this series though I wonder how the cool title will work, maybe Psy High 3: After the high? idk. keep up the great work!
Another story that I just couldn't get into. I guess this would be a good fit for somebody longing to have to "fun-filled" time of High School back, but if you weren't one of those kids, I just don't think you're going to enjoy it. Only a few minutes in and I found it too cheesy and annoying. 2/10.
All the fun and nostalgia of going to Summer Camp without actually having to go to summer camp. This is a wonderful sequel but more than that, a game that stands on its own two feet, it was lovely getting back into my character's shoes, exploring new aspects of her personality and what she did after the first game and what kind of person she is now. I really hope Psy High 3 happens, I can't even begin to imagine what the premise would be after this but damn, I really dug this game and I really can't wait to play it again some time soon.
If you enjoyed the first story, pick this up. It lets you carry over a save from the first entry, which is always an amazing feature when you can find it. Even a fresh start is a fun read, but I still think that the experience leans on you having read the first entry.
Somehow found the game really nostalgic for some strange reason. Really loved the game!
Good story about magic. Worth playing the first game first as you can import your save and carry on with your choices from the last game. The choices aren't just based on your actions and words, but also the intention behind them. There's a few bugs. I broke up with Alison, but it kept thinking I was still with her. At one point it said "You get a text from blank. What do you want to reply to blank?" and then when I replied it told me that I miss blank very much.
Im on chapter 6 right now, and i'm really liking this game, plot intruiges me a lot more than the first, which i liked a fair amount. There does seem to be a glitch where it keeps saying that im dating carl, even though i broke up with him, though its minor in my view, but i decided to mention it because its a tad bit annoying, and it could be a deal breaker for some people.
The sequel to Psy High, and it has the same proplems. Its kind of generic with the whole "high school-magic" setting and it feels onces more as if two plot where straped together. You have the magical mystery and you have the summer camp plot, but because they are once again only interwoven by the setting and the climax, you again get the feeling that you keep switching between plots. I also think that this shouldnt have been a direct sequel but either a sequel with a new character or just set in the same univers, as outside of the PC next to nothing carries over and the characters from Psy High, including the loveinterest all stay home. It says something that you can break up with your previous loveinterest per phone or straight up cheat on them just so you can have a "Summer Romance", wich the game encourages. Decent enough as a game, but i dont like the story (Same with Psy High) or its status as sequel at all.
