Genre
Ein Shoot Em Up
Gameplay
Achievements
Es gibt insgesamt 15 Erfolge. Hierfür muss man ganz einfach alle 10 Level beenden
Pro/Contra
+ Achievements - Shovelware - Alle Gegnertypen sind One Hit - Nach 2 Minuten hat man das Spiel komplett durch
Fazit
Maybe worth picking up for easy Achievements, outside that. Pass on it.
Finished the game with 100% achievement in less than the minimum time required to write a review. This "game" had 10 levels, with different colours aliens which served no purpose as everything dies in one shot, even the big green boss dies in 1 shot! This is not even worth 1 cent, my dudes. Stay away!
Ben Hayatimda bu kadar sacma anlamsiz bi oyun gormedim 2tlye yazik gidin 2 tl ye pazardan koleksiyon karti alip seviye atlayin bu oyuna vereceginize

A good example that even the most simple game, can be done worse.
I have no idea where did I get it from, but found it today in my library, installed just to finish the whole game in less than two minutes and had to wait another three just to leave a negative review. Space Invaders was more complex than this thing. Not worth even for free.
Pixel Space Battles, developed by Nikita "Ghost_RUS" and published by Ghost_RUS Games, is a minimalist arcade shooter that attempts to recreate the feel of classic space shoot-’em-ups through a deliberately stripped-down design. It places players in control of a small spacecraft tasked with surviving waves of enemies while pushing forward toward a distant goal, but it does so with an almost barebones approach that defines both its accessibility and its limitations. The gameplay loop is built around very simple mechanics. Players move their ship horizontally across the screen while firing at incoming enemies, avoiding projectiles, and trying to survive as long as possible. There are no complex control schemes or layered systems to learn, making it easy to jump into the action immediately. This simplicity reflects the game’s arcade inspiration, where the focus is on quick reactions and maintaining a rhythm of movement and shooting. However, unlike more refined entries in the genre, the mechanics do not evolve over time, and the lack of additional features quickly becomes noticeable. The game includes a small set of modes, such as a level-based progression and a survival mode. The level mode provides a structured sequence of stages, each requiring players to defeat a set number of enemies before advancing. Survival mode shifts the focus toward endurance, challenging players to last as long as possible against increasingly frequent waves of opponents. While these modes add a bit of variety, they rely on the same core mechanics, and neither introduces new ideas that significantly change the experience. Visually, the game adopts a basic pixel art style that is functional but unremarkable. Ships, projectiles, and enemies are clearly visible, which is important for gameplay clarity, but the overall presentation lacks detail and variety. Backgrounds remain static and do not contribute much to the atmosphere, and there is little sense of progression in the visual design as players advance. The aesthetic successfully communicates the game’s retro inspiration, but it does not go far enough to create a distinct or memorable identity. The audio design follows a similarly minimal approach. Sound effects provide basic feedback for actions like shooting and enemy destruction, while the background music maintains a steady, unobtrusive tone. While this keeps the focus on gameplay, the lack of variation makes the audio feel repetitive during extended sessions. Like the visuals, it serves its purpose without adding much depth to the overall experience. One of the game’s most significant shortcomings is its lack of progression and variety. There are no upgrades, power-ups, or new abilities introduced as players continue, and enemy behavior remains relatively simple throughout. Difficulty increases primarily through the number of enemies and the speed of attacks rather than through more interesting or dynamic patterns. As a result, the gameplay can feel repetitive after only a short time, as players are essentially repeating the same actions with little change. Replayability is limited. While survival mode encourages players to improve their scores, there is little else to motivate repeated play. The absence of unlockable content, alternative playstyles, or evolving mechanics means that the game does not offer much beyond its initial experience. Once players have spent some time with its systems, there is little left to discover. In the end, Pixel Space Battles is a very simple arcade shooter that delivers a basic, functional experience without expanding on its core concept. It succeeds in being accessible and easy to understand, making it suitable for short, casual sessions. However, its lack of depth, variety, and polish prevents it from standing out within the genre. It feels more like a small experiment or prototype than a fully developed game, offering only limited engagement beyond its initial novelty. Rating: 5/10
