Buddy Simulator 1984

The developer of this game has created a new friend for me, and took him away from me. I will NEVER forget you, Peebo. Petra and Peebo against the world, never forget that.

Honestly, it wasn't a bad experience. If you already own this, it may be worth playing. I enjoyed the overall idea well enough, with the spread out horror elements. There was just a lot of different ideas and transitions going on. By the time combat was introduced, it felt like a big mechanical ask compared to the laid back gameplay from earlier. There were times where I almost struggled with it. It also feels like it was designed to be played more than once, if you want to unlock all the secrets and understand the fully story. However, it takes too long to play. I realize I only played it for 10 hours, but movement is just slow and clunky and the combat takes forever. Even if it's short, it still ends up feeling long. I'm not sure I 100% understand what the game was supposed to be telling me. I unlocked most of the secrets, except for 2 that are either tedious or nearly impossible. I "get" what the game is, but not entirely what my buddy was. That said, it was the closest I've come to living out a Petscop-like experience, if you've ever watched that. So if you want a horror game in that vein, it's probably worth at least one playthrough.

I don't want to be too personal so I'm just going to say that I have 0 friends. It made me feel sad but in a good way, I don't really know how to describe it. I definetly recommend the best ending. Gameplay was fun even though I was horrible at it. Really like different characters that can come with you, I felt attached to them, even though the jorney was short. I found out about about this game through a youtube video, so thanks to halfbrewed (haven't watched the video yet so idk if it's good).

Such a charming little game. The game ended up being a fun little experience with a tear-jerking story and even though the gameplay isn't super engaging or exciting most of the time and it dragged on a bit at times. The writing makes up for it and the endings are really good. Game takes kind of long to replay though as you can't really skip or speed anything up as well. Overall I'd recommend this game if you can make it through some of the slower parts. I miss my buddy already.

This game is INSANELY underrated! I absolutely adore this game it has so much character and personality. I'd love to go into detail about the game but the slightest hint ruins the experience. If you loved UNDERTALE this is a must try and go into it blind :Friendo:
