Prodeus is a first-person shooter of old, re-imagined using modern rendering techniques and technology. Experience the quality you’d expect from a modern AAA game, designed with retro aesthetics and gameplay that invoke the tech-imposed limits of older hardware.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty straight forward fun boomer shooter. I played this through with a friend on the hardest difficulty and it was still a blast even when we kept dying. The weapon designs were unique and felt different than most guns I've used in games like this. There are similarities but, nothing that really draws away from the new feeling. Monster designs were interesting too, with quite a few different types throughout. Pros: -Fun/unique weapons -Neat map designs -Map creation is pretty well fleshed out -Decent parkour -Gameplay overall is easy to get ahold of -Tutorials for each gun done unobtrusively Cons -Only thing this is missing is a real story While the story isn't really the main focus of this game, it is scattered about in terminals with small bits. I've heard a DLC is coming out so more story could be added in that. I don't really think this game needs a lot of story since it really is just a shooter, but it's the only thing I could think of I felt like was missing. Good game to play with friends, do check it out if you like FPS's and oldstyle games.

swag game, play it
Idk why I bought this a while back and never played it. That changed yesterday when I tried this game, and I can wholeheartedly say, I like this more than DOOM. To me it's like a Duke Nukem meets Doom -- so different and exceptionally beautiful. Not anywhere close to being finished with the game as well; this game doesn't feel rushed and this game rewards you for actually looking around. A plethora of weapons to find/choose from, secrets in every map just like DOOM.. If there was ever a Prodeus 2 dropping, I'd be ALL over that. If you're someone who enjoys games like DOOM, Duke Nukem (even Half Life too, there's some elements in the game that give me nostalgia for HL) Definitely a purchase you would not regret. Give it a try when there's a sale or just buy it full price. It's absolutely worth it.
Ainda Jogando. Graficos e referencias perfeitas, trilha sonora boa, muito sangue, dificuldade de matar inimigos é razoavel, labirinto muito bom e sem muitos puzzles. Simplesmente perfeito.
Prodeus isn’t just another "boomer shooter" riding the wave of nostalgia; it’s a high-fidelity reimagining of what we thought shooters looked like in the 90s. It’s loud, it’s bloody, and it feels absolutely incredible to play. The Gunplay The developers clearly spent an obsessed amount of time on "game feel." Every weapon—from the chunky starter pistol to the devastating quad-shotgun—carries a physical weight. When you pull the trigger, the screen shakes, enemies disintegrate into a shower of voxels and sprites, and the walls get painted in permanent layers of blood. It’s pure, lizard-brain satisfaction. The Aesthetic The visual style is a brilliant hybrid. It uses a "low-res" filter over modern 3D environments, giving you the lighting and scale of a modern game with the grit of a retro classic. You can even toggle between 2D sprites and 3D models for enemies, allowing you to customize your nostalgia level. It’s easily one of the most stylish shooters on Steam. Level Design & Content The campaign levels are tight, vertical, and reward exploration without feeling like a chore. But the real "secret weapon" here is the built-in community map browser. Even after you finish the main story, there is a literal infinite supply of high-quality maps made by the community that you can download and play instantly within the game. Final Verdict: If you grew up on DOOM and Quake, this is a love letter written in lead and plasma. If you’re a newcomer, it’s the perfect entry point into the world of retro-shooters.

With many games like this they can easily fall into the 'Doom-Like' category as they used to be called back in the days before the FPS genre got it's own pathway, and this is game is reminiscent of that sort of terminology or categorisation, and no doubt you can see the heavy inspiration taken from Doom. Nevertheless it's an enjoyable game and the fact that it runs on my Mac, that has to certainly earn some bonus points for this review. With FPS games like these, it can become somewhat repetitive going through each level, but it doesn't require you to keep playing everyday to know what to do, or what you was doing, you can come back whenever and continue just as you left off and pick it up whenever you feel like it and that I guess is the beauty of such games. With Prodeus there's no specific story at all but the campaign was nice to just play through, and as a Doom fan, I really did enjoy just playing through it and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good old FPS without any extra fluff taking away from the action, especially with that blend of old school graphics with a modern touch up. Even on an old 2010 system like this, it ran very well, and although I never played with the Unlimited Levels option, that's something unique for someone who might. Overall, it's a 7.5 out of 10.
I meant to review alot sooner. This is definitely one to add to the collection if you're a fan of boomer shooters. Props to the dev.
