In my opinion, this is the best game ever made. Every single aspect of it is incredibly well done. There’s no need to highlight anything individually in this review, because everyone should experience this game for themselves. If someone has trouble with the camera, just be a little patient and give yourself some time to get used to it. Back when the game originally came out, nobody really had a problem with it. It would be absolutely amazing if they made remakes of the entire trilogy someday. For me, it’s an easy 10/10 — and if I could give it more, I definitely would! :D

Difficulty Overall : 4/10 Approximate Amount of Time Required for 100% : 18-22 hours. (but no achievements on steam). Single Playthrough Time Required : 8-10 hours. This game takes a much darker and more mature approach than its predecessor while improving almost every aspect of the gameplay. The combat is fast, fluid, and highly satisfying, offering a wide range of combos, dual-wielding mechanics, and acrobatic attacks that make every battle feel rewarding. The platforming remains excellent, with clever level design, deadly traps, and intense chase sequences that keep the tension high from beginning to end. One of its greatest strengths is the atmosphere. The dark environments, mysterious setting, and mature story create a unique experience that stands apart from other action-adventure games. The heavy metal soundtrack perfectly complements the fast-paced action, adding energy to boss fights and making many memorable moments even more impactful. For fans of metal music, the soundtrack is easily one of the highlights of the experience. Although the game has a few flaws, including occasional camera issues and some repetitive backtracking, they do little to overshadow its strengths. The engaging gameplay, challenging platforming, excellent combat system, and unforgettable soundtrack come together to create an action-adventure experience that has stood the test of time and remains a favorite among many players.

For 2026 this game is too frustrating. The controls, the mechanics on top of that the absurd camera angles, one minor misstep and you have to start from way back. The simplest of task like jumping across are made unnecessarily tedious. Played this game for the first time on PS2 back in 2010. Back then the teen me found this epic and maybe many people still do. But it's way easier to play on a Play Station than on a PC. Honestly if not for nostalgia I would have dropped this by now and won't have bother with this bu*ls*it of a game. For PC it's a bad good game. The kind which make you wanna bang your table and your PC. It's has glitches as well.
