About
Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost on a remote planet.
In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists where to build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water to stay alive.
You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.
Even if the game is not intended to be a simulator, all the mechanics are plausible, and based on what the expected challenges of establishing a colony in an new planet would be.
Four different planets with different conditions and increasing difficulty.

Harness solar and wind energy (if available) in order to power the base's structures.
Grow hydroponic Vegetables and synthesize Vitromeat to feed your population.
Mine and produce raw resources, process them, manufacture goods, and establish a production chain.
Carefully manage the colonist immigration flow to ensure you have the people with the right skills.

Survive disasters like meteors, sandstorms or solar flares and defend your base from intruders.
Mechanize your base by creating your own bots that will help with the more arduous tasks.
Grow your colony from a few initial pioneers to a vibrant planetbase with hundreds of colonists.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
I'm on the fence about this game. After playing Surviving Mars, this definitely doesn't scratch the same itch. I wish there were elements of exploration or events that added more depth—something to make this colony sim more than just a colony management game. The gameplay feels very limited, and the management panels are basic.
这游戏居然要出第二部不知道大家看没有虽然是2027年才出

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Physics? Never heard of her. I spent two hours trying to jump over a wall that wasn't there and accidentally clipped into the emotional void of my own soul. I found a glitch that turned me into a god for four seconds. Then I died to a bush. Best experience of my life.
On the surface, this appears to be a delightful space colony sim. I really wanted to keep playing this one, but as the other reviews will warn you, various bugs like poor AI and other mechanics make it an unfun challenge of a game. Without any customizations for difficulty, you're stuck hoping "this next run" will go better. It's disheartening to see how fast a run can die. To the devs: I know you're making a sequel, so PLEASE give this version a bit more love. No need to correct the poor AI (maybe they're just born that way, hey) but give us a fast restart option, less chances for a tiny starting area, an EASY MODE just for completions sake. Gotta say though, the tutorial was very well done!
I am a bit sad that I have to downvote this game. It starts exciting, but a couple of hours later I felt limited and the whole thing became repetitive. Building types, constructions, resources, colonist types, mechanics, etc. You can build more and bigger, but that's all. I had high hopes after Dawn of Man, and it was good for completing one scenario, but wouldn't start another. Waiting for planetbase 2.
Первые 50 часов интересно играть, но потом начинает надоедать. У игры большой потенциал, задумка интересная, но контента мало.
Slow burning game that requires patience and witt.
As other reviews have stated, the AI for this makes the game unplayable at this junction. Easiest planet is so unforgiving it's absurd. Like the others I've played just over the refund point for this game and it was not pleasant. Started over more times than should be necessary in such a short period hoping it was the location that I was starting, or the build sequence that I was employing, or the resource prioritization, or etc etc. I am envious of people who can succeed with this game, but it seems the positive reviews are more of the potential or concept and not of the current playability which speaks volumes. Even with all this my GREATEST complaint is that there is no PAUSE to strategize or plot out building placement which IMO is absolutely ridiculous.
现在玩的话就会觉得游戏内容重复度过高了,但放十年前确实不错,也算是全成就补票啦
