About
Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost on a remote planet.
In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists where to build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water to stay alive.
You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.
Even if the game is not intended to be a simulator, all the mechanics are plausible, and based on what the expected challenges of establishing a colony in an new planet would be.
Four different planets with different conditions and increasing difficulty.

Harness solar and wind energy (if available) in order to power the base's structures.
Grow hydroponic Vegetables and synthesize Vitromeat to feed your population.
Mine and produce raw resources, process them, manufacture goods, and establish a production chain.
Carefully manage the colonist immigration flow to ensure you have the people with the right skills.

Survive disasters like meteors, sandstorms or solar flares and defend your base from intruders.
Mechanize your base by creating your own bots that will help with the more arduous tasks.
Grow your colony from a few initial pioneers to a vibrant planetbase with hundreds of colonists.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I want to like it but man is the AI a case study of what no selfpreservation on a species wide level would look like, job prioritizing is a joke at best, "safe" passages are a suggestion as it appears your "braindead" colonists rather would run outside and asfixiate than take the route through buildings, Bots break down constantly regardless of maintance centers. Foood evaporates into thin air the moment sombody forgets to stock up the processors, which CANT BE PRIORITIZED... Oh yeah, Prioritizing... works on a by building basis, you can only select the entire dome you want to prioritize, meaning if you want to have something in particular only choice you have is to build dedicated domes and pair that with wonky pathfinding and map generation that is functional at best and downright hostile to AI life at worst, it just gets frustrating... Rimworld a complex, messy Mammoth of a Managment game that cou can break with a bloated workshop is more intuitive than this, while having more features AND leaving you more in charge. I dont know what exactly the Devs did over the years, I had good memories of this game but something just broke, and my enjoyment is gone, I will look up videos of this game from some years ago and compare, also the sequel of this game seems to be in development, I sure hope they fixed what ever they f*cked up with this ones AI and Pathfinding, because I sure as hell already have to much wasted money on my hand if I look at my stain of a backlog and my Library that I share with my loved ones.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

这游戏居然要出第二部不知道大家看没有虽然是2027年才出
The core game loop is fairly boring. The resource trees are small. I was looking for a chill builder game but this game isn't really building to anything terribly interesting.
Planetbase is one of those games that quietly earns your respect over time. At first glance, it looks simple: land on a planet, build a base, keep people alive. But once you get past the tutorial phase, you realize the game is really about systems interacting with systems. Power, oxygen, water, food, worker roles, solar conditions, terrain placement — everything is connected, and the game does very little hand-holding once you’re on your own. With over 105 hours played, most of my time has been spent experimenting: optimizing layouts, stress-testing bases, intentionally pushing things too far just to see where they break. Planetbase shines when you stop trying to “win” and start treating it like a sandbox for engineering problems. A small design mistake early on can cascade into a full colony collapse hours later, and when that happens, it rarely feels unfair — it feels like your fault. That’s a compliment. The pacing is slower than modern colony sims, and that won’t be for everyone. There’s no endless tech tree or constant dopamine drip. Instead, Planetbase rewards patience, planning, and foresight. It’s closer to a minimalist simulation than a content-heavy management game, and that restraint is part of its charm. Visually and mechanically, it’s aged surprisingly well. The UI is clean, readable, and functional. The game doesn’t overwhelm you with numbers, but it gives you just enough information to make informed decisions — if you’re paying attention. Is it perfect? No. I’d love deeper late-game systems, more variety, and better mod support. But what’s here is solid, cohesive, and clearly designed by people who understood exactly what kind of game they were making. If you enjoy games where failure teaches you more than success, and where smart design matters more than flashy features, Planetbase is absolutely worth your time. Highly recommended for system-thinkers, tinkerers, and anyone who enjoys building something that actually works — until it doesn’t.

Nah. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dev that keeps misusing the news function on all their other games, for spamming news about their new games. Don't support devs like this.
I'm on the fence about this game. After playing Surviving Mars, this definitely doesn't scratch the same itch. I wish there were elements of exploration or events that added more depth—something to make this colony sim more than just a colony management game. The gameplay feels very limited, and the management panels are basic.
Wow, This is BAD. And I mean BAD. The game in a nutshell: The Biologist is sad because he ist hungry. Because he is hungry he will not grow food. Therefore he and all others will starve. This is one of those games which will go into unsalvagable cascade failure if you did not check 5 different stats every 60 seconds. And of course the game will not do any reasonable autosaves. Because that would be less frustatring and frustration is the only thing intended by design. I had 64 colonists AND a decent amount of food left in storage. But why should that prevent 10 colonists from starving. And so the death spiral begins. Death causes moral to break and from that point on it does not matter what you do. Deactivate everthing in your base exept food production. Does not matter. You are now allowed to watch over an extended ammount of time how basically every single one of you colonist kills himself by refusing to do the things that could save him. This is the 4th or 5th game I played in recent years wiht this kind of logic and they all have one thing in common. Such a game design is B A D !!!
No windowed mode. Frustrating to play on a multiple screen set up. Refunded.
