About
Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost on a remote planet.
In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists where to build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water to stay alive.
You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.
Even if the game is not intended to be a simulator, all the mechanics are plausible, and based on what the expected challenges of establishing a colony in an new planet would be.
Four different planets with different conditions and increasing difficulty.

Harness solar and wind energy (if available) in order to power the base's structures.
Grow hydroponic Vegetables and synthesize Vitromeat to feed your population.
Mine and produce raw resources, process them, manufacture goods, and establish a production chain.
Carefully manage the colonist immigration flow to ensure you have the people with the right skills.

Survive disasters like meteors, sandstorms or solar flares and defend your base from intruders.
Mechanize your base by creating your own bots that will help with the more arduous tasks.
Grow your colony from a few initial pioneers to a vibrant planetbase with hundreds of colonists.

This is the most frustrating game I've ever played and that's saying something. What I hate is I can have a thriving colony then, for no apparent reason, my food just quits producing and one by one I watch my colonist perish. No matter how many biologist I have, in fact that just seems to make the situation worse. I like the game otherwise and have spent many hour playing but this is so frustrating that the juice just isn't worth the squeeze. Since my down vote on this game I've learned a couple of tricks that have paid off. For anyone else who has found this game to be frustrating I have a couple of hints that might help. (could be considered spoilers) 1.You need at least two biologist for every five colonist. 2.You need a lot of canteen food producers and starting out only produce low maintenance vegies along with one medicinal producer and one starch produce. Like I said before, I really like the game but maintaining successful food production was very frustrating.

Very shallow gameplay. The aim is to build a base on another planet, but I don't know why they're bothering. None of the resources you can gather or make are rare, they can all be bought from the passing traders, there's no terraforming or anything, you're building a base on another world just because. I had a lot of time to think about the reason for the base existing because everything takes so damn long to happen, even on the fastest setting. There is not even any tech progression or anything to get excited about. Whilst there are technologies you can buy from the passing traders, most of these just give bigger versions of buildings you already have. And because these versions are bigger you can't incorporate them into your existing base without tearing half if it down to rebuild in slightly different positions. There's nothing that makes existing buildings better (with the possible exception of 2 GM crops I never saw a trader selling) and there's not a huge variety of buildings to begin with. The production chains are very simple but incredibly slow. The point of the game is to expand your base, but you're pretty quickly just building the same structures over and over, whilst waiting for more colonists to arrive.
This game is trash! The game ♥♥♥♥♥ you over AT EVERY TURN you need power oh yea here comes a sandstorm right as you need it, to top that off 6 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ people break limbs all in the same week the probability is astronomincal then it takes one person to carry ♥♥♥♥ out to a build site and they can't build the site someone else has to do it so one person does one task (when they actually do do something) and then walks away then the colony ship just keeps droppin off more and more colonists despite you can only hold a limited amount when you make games where the game itself cheats yea that's not fun.
Really nice game few upgrades i wish be there but still great game
its pretty fun but its just draining cause one minute everything is fine next thing you see everyone starving your robots die and your world is over , maybe its my gameplay thats bad but yeah its pretty cool regardless deffo playing planetbase 2
