Perfeito, incrivel, lindo
The pixel art is so incredibly eye catching. Everything from the environments, npcs, to the vfx. This is definitely an underrated gem. Stop reading this and play it right now, it's worth every dollar
I should love this game, and maybe that’s why I’m as disappointed as I am. On paper this checks all the boxes. In reality..it feels like a mess, there are moments of really clever gameplay, and interesting ways to use the yoyo, but they’re overshadowed by sloppy overworld design, a map with icons and no key telling you what anything means, and just plain terrible combat mechanics. And I’m not interested in trudging through any further to see if it “gets better”
Just fantastic from beginning to end. Was surprised by the clever writing and how each boss was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek commentary, but most of all this is super fun to play and just the right amount of challenging.
It's a very good top-down metroidvania, though I'd actually call it more of a puzzle platformer at times. The world is huge and conveniently interconnected, the abilities you unlock make traversal fun and interesting and there are plenty of secrets and optional content to dig up. I'm not the biggest fan of the chonky GBA-style graphics, or the combat, but there are a decently wide variety of enemies and I appreciate that there's a fully 3-D modeled GBA you can play on, complete with screen scratches. I wasn't expecting this game to span 20 hours, but that's what it took to collect everything and it was pretty fun to do so. I would say Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is definitely worth a playthrough. Pros: - Teaches you about the dangers of capitalism / sports betting / anime cons - Decent music - Fun traversal / puzzles / abilities - Difficult but fair, deaths aren't that punishing. Cons: - Slightly too padded in a few areas, but a lot of it is optional - Some odd character sprites - Some screens were a bit cluttered / hard to parse (example: Final area has red goo that I kept thinking was carpet and then falling into it) Anyway, play it!
really freakin' good
