Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The 2.0 update is extensive, transforming nearly every aspect of the game, but the highlights include:
Fully realized pilots – Recruit pilots with over 100 unique pilot traits and abilities which allow for in-depth buildcrafting and synergies with your mechs. With a new recruitment and class specialization system, expansive leveling with varied progression trees, combined with new visual customisation options, you can build your own flavor of deadly (and stylish) ace pilots.

Cinematic spin on the turn-based genre – Predict enemy movements, orchestrate precisely timed countermeasures, and hit “execute” to watch the physics-based action unfold in real time.
Extensive customization – Featuring a rich customization system, Phantom Brigade enables you to fine-tune the performance of your mechs, install a wide selection of equipment, and access a wealth of cosmetic options. Prepare your squad for any challenge - in style.
An expansive arsenal – Railguns, beam weapons, missiles, energy swords, and more! Rain destruction down upon your homeland’s invaders with weaponry salvaged from each enemy mech you defeat.
Strategic tactical combat – Make high-level tactical decisions on the world map, manage your mobile base, and decide how to apply your limited resources. Take command of your squad in varied missions ranging from sabotage of enemy equipment and convoy ambushes to liberation battles and challenging outpost onslaughts.
Destructible environments – It's not a proper game about giant mechs without destructible buildings! Phantom Brigade allows every square meter of each battle map to be destroyed. Shatter your enemy’s cover and collapse buildings on top of them!

Fun game but it is both poorly coded and explained, which makes in experience get so much worse the more systems the game introduces the more you progress. The gameplay hinges on the prediction of the actions of the enemy units, forcing the players to balance what actions they can take within the 5 seconds every turn and how high the overheat threshold is of each individual mech (think of it like AP and Bonus actions from Baldur's gate). Straight forward enough until the prediction given to you during each turn is no longer accurate, making the actions you've planned inefficient/ineffective, useless, or down right detrimental to the outcome. Examples: - Railgun attacks (especially the railgun shotgun) passing through natural terrain despite the game having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loading screen tooltip that tells you terrains are impenetrable and can be utilized as cover. - The hydra missile launcher having unclear trajectory predictions completely different from the item description. A fact that I've only learned after accidentally carpet bombing my units a few times. - Missile trajectory disappears once planning starts for next turn. You need to memorize every missile action planned in the last turn, and guesstimates for impact time and place for in-flight missiles so you can maximize damage output. - The unstoppable skill, despite having an in game description of "your mech will remain standing after collision regardless of the weight class of the mech you collided with", only means that your mech won't get knocked to the ground but will still gain the crashing status. The collision mechanism is also very poorly explained as even after 40hr of gameplay, I'm still playing based on the assumption that raising my shield means raising my weight class by 1 as there's no clear description of the consequence of this action, and whether the collision will happen as planned is still uncertain. - Active defense has the same stats as other backpack launchers such as missiles and mine layers but for some reason the heat generation is not written and damage will still go through despite the item description being something along the lines of "generate a force field around the unit that stops incoming projectiles". Which attacks are going to get through? Who knows good luck lol! Keep SLing that mission buster. - Damage of status effects are not displayed period and how are statuses applied are also unclear. I know it works by building up a "invisible gauge" but conventional ways such as using a shield or active defense packs are useless for some reason despite for example, incendiary weapons function by launching fiery projectiles!!! at enemy units. The game's item description needs some serious work/rework and it needs a proper in-game guide for everything. I know they can do it because descriptions for power, thrust, heat-diss, integrity, just to name a few, already have built-in descriptions which you can read simply by hovering a mouse cursor above them. Edit: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the developers actually addressed the weight class issue. I doubt they did it b/c of this review but seeing improvements being made earns a thumbs-up from me. Keep up the good work!

They keep doing significant free updates to a game that already was good :)
Una variazione sul tema degli strategici molto interessante, richiede un pò di tempo per padroneggiare le meccaniche. Lo sviluppatore ha continuato con gli aggiornmenti ben oltre l'early access
I'm surprised I hadn't recommended this game before. I quite liked Phantom Brigade at launch, but it's hard to argue with some of the criticisms of the story and mission variety. My affection for its brand of simultaneous turn-based combat helped me meet it where it was. With the last major update, I've been very impressed with how much the game has expanded and feels in line with the game I was playing in my mind at launch. Pilots have more personality and complexity, it feels like there's greater mission variety, choices and upgrades feel very meaningful. Also, since we're not likely to see another turn-based Battletech game any time soon, Phantom Brigade is a good way to scratch that itch (without, y'know, the Battletech IP).
I'm loving every minute of this game. Great customization, strategy and open to mods. There are many ways to keep expanding this game. Give it a try!
