I played Doorkickers and Doorkickers 2, and this game did not compare favorably. There's a significant lack of polish - some menus and the character loadouts didn't work for me at all. The actual moment-to-moment gameplay is fun enough, but my biggest gripe is that the "campaign" doesn't allow for as much experimentation as e.g. Doorkickers 2, where you can really perfect your strategy through trial and error. Not giving room for experimentation just means that your early errors compound over time and result in late-game struggles.
It's like the original Rainbow Six games, except you only control the planning phase and not the action phase. Very interesting gameloop and extremely satisfying when you get that perfect plan execution. 5/7 would play again
Big fan of Breach & Clear back in the day. I've been looking for something a long time that scratches that itch and this game is IT. At some points it feels like waiting for a sneeze, I get so ready to hit the execute button but when you stack up all the dominos and they fall perfectly it is so satisfying. Having the survival mode, mission generator, custom maps, and mods are all critical features that will make me keep coming back to this game.
i came playing this game 10/10

LOVE IT SO FUN
No Plan B is a tactical strategy game developed and published by GFX47 that builds its entire identity around one compelling idea: preparation is everything. Rather than placing players in direct command during firefights, the game asks them to think like mission planners. Every operation begins with careful analysis of the environment, followed by assigning routes, breach points, and synchronized actions to a team of operatives. Once the plan is finalized, there is no stepping in to correct mistakes. The mission unfolds exactly as designed, for better or worse. It is an unusual premise that immediately distinguishes No Plan B from more traditional tactical shooters and gives the game a level of tension that remains present from beginning to end. The title excels at making players feel responsible for every success and failure. Missions often start with simple objectives, but they quickly evolve into layered scenarios involving hostages, multiple enemy positions, and unpredictable room layouts. The planning tools are intuitive, allowing players to queue movements, coordinate simultaneous entries, and determine when squad members should engage or hold fire. Watching a strategy execute perfectly is one of the game's greatest strengths. A synchronized breach where every target is neutralized in seconds feels less like playing a game and more like directing a carefully choreographed action sequence. Conversely, a single error in timing can result in disaster, reinforcing the game's unforgiving philosophy. Another standout feature is the amount of variety packed into the experience. Beyond standalone missions, No Plan B includes campaign-style progression with roguelike elements that add meaningful stakes to every decision. Operatives can be lost permanently, resources must be managed carefully, and players are often forced to decide whether to push forward or preserve their squad for future encounters. Procedural generation further extends replayability, ensuring that missions rarely feel identical. This structure keeps the gameplay fresh and encourages experimentation with different tactics, weapons, and squad compositions over dozens of hours. Visually, the game adopts a clean and functional art style that prioritizes readability. Environments are easy to interpret, which is essential for a title that revolves around planning and situational awareness. While the graphics may not compete with larger-budget tactical games, they serve their purpose effectively and allow players to focus on strategy rather than spectacle. The replay system adds a cinematic quality to completed missions, transforming successful operations into satisfying sequences that players will often want to watch multiple times. Combined with solid sound effects and a tense atmosphere, these moments become some of the most memorable aspects of the experience. No Plan B also deserves recognition for remaining approachable despite its strategic depth. New players can understand the fundamentals relatively quickly, but mastering the game requires patience and a willingness to learn from mistakes. Enemy positioning, sightlines, and timing become increasingly important as the difficulty rises. The game consistently rewards thoughtful planning while punishing impulsive decisions, creating a satisfying sense of progression as players improve. It is not designed for those seeking fast-paced, reaction-based gameplay, but anyone who enjoys solving tactical puzzles will likely find themselves deeply invested. Ultimately, No Plan B succeeds because it commits completely to its concept. It never attempts to be an action shooter or a sandbox filled with unnecessary distractions. Instead, it delivers a focused tactical experience where every command matters and every mission tells a story shaped by the player's decisions. GFX47 has created a game that understands its audience and provides a rewarding challenge for strategy enthusiasts. While its deliberate pace may limit its appeal to a broader audience, those willing to embrace its methodical design will discover one of the more distinctive tactical titles available on Steam.
