Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The 2.0 update is extensive, transforming nearly every aspect of the game, but the highlights include:
Fully realized pilots – Recruit pilots with over 100 unique pilot traits and abilities which allow for in-depth buildcrafting and synergies with your mechs. With a new recruitment and class specialization system, expansive leveling with varied progression trees, combined with new visual customisation options, you can build your own flavor of deadly (and stylish) ace pilots.
A reworked campaign – New maps, new quests, and new combat scenarios along with fully rebalanced factions ensure you face varied squads with different equipment, armour and unit configurations. You have even more reason to collect new equipment and experiment with different loadouts to take on these new threats.
Completely reimagined overworld – Explore new provinces, varied landscapes and overhauled campaign systems. New liberation and overworld mechanics, new points of interest and events, new province modifiers and improved mission generation provide a varied, constantly evolving environment to encourage players to adapt and overcome.
A HUGE amount of community driven quality of life updates – New salvage and debriefing menus, new mission previews and reward generation, reworked workshop and crafting, improved damage logic and prediction, new options and difficulty settings, comprehensive weapon balancing, subsystem reworks and much more!
Phantom Brigade is a cinematic, tactical mech strategy game with an innovative timeline-based command system. See the future, predict enemy actions, and plot your counterattack on the timeline! Recruit and level up your squad of rebels to retake war-torn Fyrland from the Kaskad occupation.
Cinematic spin on the turn-based genre – Predict enemy movements, orchestrate precisely timed countermeasures, and hit “execute” to watch the physics-based action unfold in real time.
Extensive customization – Featuring a rich customization system, Phantom Brigade enables you to fine-tune the performance of your mechs, install a wide selection of equipment, and access a wealth of cosmetic options. Prepare your squad for any challenge - in style.
An expansive arsenal – Railguns, beam weapons, missiles, energy swords, and more! Rain destruction down upon your homeland’s invaders with weaponry salvaged from each enemy mech you defeat.
Strategic tactical combat – Make high-level tactical decisions on the world map, manage your mobile base, and decide how to apply your limited resources. Take command of your squad in varied missions ranging from sabotage of enemy equipment and convoy ambushes to liberation battles and challenging outpost onslaughts.
Destructible environments – It's not a proper game about giant mechs without destructible buildings! Phantom Brigade allows every square meter of each battle map to be destroyed. Shatter your enemy’s cover and collapse buildings on top of them!

It's not X-COM but I do like this project. 2.0 release especially really upped the immersion re: pilot and mech management. It's very pretty (even though to me the mech designs are all a teensy bit samey compared to the likes of say BattleTech or even gundam). Like the replay feature though would love it if post battle we could get a final replay of the whole battle, not just the last 5s segment. Bonus points if we could export them as an mp4 or something. On that note the future prediction gimmick is pretty cool and is balanced by being semi perfect (it will show you basically what each unit is trying to do, not how successful they will be so e.g. if you arent paying attention you might dump all your attacks for a turn into an enemy that only needed 1 shot to down, wasting the opportunity to switch targets). I'ma stop here before I get too rambly but bottom line, Phantom Brigade right now is a good time if you like turn based squad tactics games. More fun if you're into mecha and/or anime.

This game is fantastic. Scratches the X-COM itch and then some. I love it!
Initiate ramming speed!
Decent; recommended only if you like strategic mecha combat a la Front Mission: Outfit your squad with limited resources, plan your attack, and watch Mechs blowing stuff up. The underlying game concept and execution are good. Sadly, there are serious flaws: -) AI is between poor and pitiful, often doing nothing for large stretches of time or colliding with teammates for no cause. -) The Interface is clunky, sometimes without cause (two clicks and a click-and-hold to load a save file?), and sometimes as a consequence of the conceit of the game: navigating the time bar as well as the spatial world. Keyboard shortcuts and being able to click on the time bar to specify how long to wait would help with some of it. I had concerns that Phantom Brigade would be pretty but clunky complication on top of the clean idea and play of Into the Breach; thankfully that is not the experience.
Great turn based strategy game! Very original and very intuitive! Kudos to the developers for the great effort and continous support to the game adding free stuff and hearing the fan base of their game.
This game is awesome. I only got it after post 2.0 so cant speak on original release but what they have here is truly special. My only concern is longevity. They just need to create a more open ended sandbox mode with more maps, units, environments, weapons etc, and if they do that and continue to support modding, I think this game has real potential. Basically, the bones are here. I love the game. I love the idea, i love the art style. I love the music. I like pretty much all of the mechanics, I just want to see more of everything. One complaint I would have is the animation transitions sometimes look a little funky but im sure theyll continue to improve. Keep up the good work devs.
Devs how about adding weapons that replace whole arms?
Love this game! Its defining feature is a prediction system that lets you see enemy actions 5 seconds into the future, allowing you to plot counter-attacks on a timeline and execute them simultaneously. Timeline Combat: You are severely outnumbered but possess predictive tech. You queue up movements, attacks, and dashes while viewing the enemy's projected actions. The five-second turn resolves dynamically, making battles feel like a cinematic action sequence. Deep Customization: You can fine-tune every part of your mechs—from swapping arms, torsos, and legs to tweaking weapon payloads and cosmetic paint finishes. Mobile Operations: You manage your squad from a mobile command center, scavenge salvage from enemy wrecks, and make high-level strategic decisions on the overland map. Played this with Gundam mods and it was awesome!
