Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

Plyaed this game for 6 hours now. My verdict: - Help Text in your helmet is barely visible (small white print) - Controls feel clunky and unlogical - Tutorial: almost non-existent - Learning Curve: (too) high - Story: meaningless - Reason to survive: meaningless - UI unlogical and bad visibility Simply put: for me, this game is not enjoyable and brings nothing new to the table - infact, it's a step backwards in comparisson with other planetary susrvival games.

For now nice for 12jears old. And to far out of the big legue games.
9/10
The recommendation buttons on Steam really need a 'meh' button. Most of the game is pretty good. Good idea, well composed structure, reasonable pacing. But there are some irritating grindy bits that just made me uninstall. The worst one is the iron cost for universal repair kits and the fact that iron seems to be the rarest mineral on Mars (I thought the reason it was red was because of all the iron). I kept getting hit by meteors and losing all my power (then you lose all your food of course "withering"). Unfortunately, it takes about three days of rock mining to find enough iron to build all the repair kits you need. Then you get smashed again. Sorry, that's just tedious. Game devs: Up the supply of iron or drop the universal repair kit cost. It killed the game for me
I mainly play survival games and this one has quickly become my new favorite. The Campaign has the most bare bones of a tutorial which is fine if you like survival crafting games and learning as you go. The only bug I've found so far is that the supply drops are never at the location they say they are. They are either invisible in the air or deep underground which cannot be accessed. It would be nice to get the supply drops but it's not necessary and for me not worth the hassle of traveling the distance for an item. The game is not quick or easy, it takes patience, thought and planning. I do like how you need to be mindful and balance your resources, specifically water, power, food in that order. Plant too much and don't have enough water, plants die, food runs out, you die. expand the base too quickly without having enough power, plants can die, you run out of food, you die. don't scavenge enough and stock up on food when you are learning to grow your own, you die. Like with any survival scenario you need to always find in order; water, shelter, power, food, defense. The game only auto-saves when you sleep so if you don't regularly save your game or if you like to run off ill prepared you'll die. Don't place markers on your map to find your way back, you die. It is a survival game where you are stranded on Mars, it's another planet, surviving is the goal and anything can go wrong and kill you. I'm seeing some negative reviews lately but the game sets you up with all the tools you need to survive and thrive, it just takes experimenting and practice. Whenever you start a new play through you always land near a water source and a derelict outpost you can scavenge and scrap. I don't don't think it gets much easier than that. Really looking forward to the co-op gameplay when it is available.
Very fun game. Everything took a bit to figure out but I was able to figure most things out on my own. Can't wait to see the next place they take the game
