Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

Fun co op game :)

not a good game
I last played this game, and most of my playtime is from back then, in okt. 2024. I noticed the game had moved to 1.0, and I was exited to try the finished version. But the game has changed very little since 2024, mostly adding extra resource needs to vehicles, some new resources, and now it's even harder to store resources. All to make the game take longer to finish. I don't hate that, but... The bugs are killing the game. It played a lot better in 2024, and now even framerate is bad. * Rocks still dance around when you mine them. * Gravity is... special. * Resources vanish from inventory, some resources are not used when printing, and others only use half of what is supposed to be used. * The computer can't show me missions or special drops at all. * The map keeps changing pin colors on it's own. * Bases on the map stay when I remove them in the world. and more smaller bugs... All in all this game is NOT recommended in it's current state. I love the concept, and many features are really good, but it's a mess to play, and should still be in beta. UPDATE 22/3/26: To the developers - I started a new game in 1.0, so any bugs are not from using an old save. After the latest update, the game has got a lot better. Still a few minor bugs, but now the game is playable. The ideas in the game are still good, but balance in food production are off, mining the rocks still feel like pushing large beachballs around, and moving items with the rover seems like a quick fix to get the game out. However I do find the game fun to play, and will change my recommendation since the last update.
I couldn't adjust the mouse sensitivity properly, so I reduced it, but it's still too high. The game doesn't have any optimization yet, and it doesn't produce many frames, and the graphics aren't very detailed even on high settings. I didn't like the male voice at the beginning. I'll try to play it later when it's ready. I think the developers need to play it themselves to understand what's wrong with it.
This game shouldn't be a full release, It's barely out of alpha, in terms of bugs. Basic things like mechanical actions like breaking down bases, gives you material skill points, and material actions like mining rocks gives you mechanical skill points. Other things like the story being mostly "everything exploded, good luck." Mounting things to the quad bike commonly makes the mounted item stick to the bottom of the vehicle, then sending you into orbit when trying to drive. Input seems laggy and unresponsive at times. Planting trees sometimes refuses, and puts the tree in your inventory, I've got ten data pads, while missing three blueprints, where earlier, these data pads would give me a selection of blueprints I could learn, they now give me nothing, but sometimes gives me a blueprint anyway after having visited a science table. There's a lot of annoyances, which makes it seem like the developer hasn't spent much time actually playing the game. From small things like having to press a key to get in to the menu at the start, or the "do you really want to load this game" dialog when loading a game. To things like making water bottles, just to have food recipies consume the whole bottle, rather than just the water in it. I do fear this "release" is just the developer signaling that they will stop developing the game. The game certainly has potensial, but it seems like they are just releasing an unfinished draft.
I bought this game looking for something akin to Astroneer and this game looked more complex had a more realistic aesthetic, in my opinion however this game is in a rather severe state of incompleteness. I have 74 hours in this game and besides a couple of pieces of unused technology I feel I've played basically everything this game has to offer.
great game. Looking forward to more quest and story line
(I haven't played the released version yet, this review is for EA version just before release) I enjoyed playing the game for more than a hundred hours, just relaxing and meditating alone - grinding, building, growing food... The game is clunky, really clunky (yes, I'm looking at you, tree-grabbing and manual missile assembly), needs a lot of polish, but it's still worth it. I didn't play Campaign or Co-Op mode as those are direct opposites of what I want from the game. What sets this game apart from other similar games: 1) Food growing. You need to plant a seed, wait for it to grow a bit, then replant it into hydroponics, wait for it mature, and then plant it into a field, and THEN plant it into a dome (not always, depends on the plant type). 2) Vehicle operation. For a car, you can put rocks in its trunk, drive to a grinder and unload. And, for a rover, you can operate its crane to mine, load and build! 3) Dangerous weather. Yes, it strands you inside and you might start feeling bored, but the first few times you actually feel scared to come out, hearing the wind outside... Also, the in-game help actually helps quite a lot, as some of the game's mechanics are not intuitive.
