Reviews
I had been waiting for this game for a long time. After its rough launch, I decided to wait almost seven months for the patches before playing. I'd say there's a beautiful game underneath, but that surface is still covered with a lot of rough edges. I haven't finished the campaign yet, so keep that in mind. I'll just list what I liked and disliked to give you an idea. *LIKES* -The cinematics are surprisingly good, especially for a studio of this size. I'd love to see what they could do with a bigger budget. -The story starts as a typical revenge tale, but I like the different layers that unfold as the story progresses. -The gameplay is above average, and some of the combat combos are genuinely fun. -The visuals are generally very nice. -The main characters actually have personalities instead of feeling like generic nobodies. -Simple but enjoyable city-building mechanics. -The music is good, although I wish there was a bit more of it. -The variety of quest types is good enough for a game of this scale. *DISLIKES* -There are still too many bugs: turn-passing bugs, compass bugs, character bugs, skill bugs... the list goes on. -The UI feels a bit clunky. -The dialogue during turn transitions doesn't really add anything meaningful. -Crafting and trading are too simplistic—it's basically just collecting a few materials and clicking "Craft." -I don't like how equipment classes are indicated. Whenever I want to craft something, I end up clicking through multiple menus just to double-check which class can actually use the item. -The enemy AI is pretty dumb. -Some cinematics randomly freeze and then suddenly skip to the next scene. It always feels like I accidentally clicked and skipped something, even though I didn't. -Switching between buildings to construct or inspect them is a pain. -The building status indicators are confusing. Most buildings have a green marker on the side, but sometimes it means they're available and other times it means they're already under construction. It's not very intuitive. Despite all these issues, I can see a lot of potential here. I'd really like to see what this developer could accomplish with a bigger budget and a little more development time. They came very close to making something great but fell short in several areas. Hopefully, the experience they gained from this project will help them make an even better sequel—or an even better next game. FINAL VERDICT (Personal Experience) 70/100

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I can't speak of the quality later in the game but so far it has been amazing minus a few visual glitches. I've really enjoyed the storytelling so far it's got a certain charm I can't put my finger on. The combat is also more engaging than I expected it to be and playing on hard has had me utilizing alot of the mechanics.
Norse is definitely a good game, and I feel that with a little more development time, it could have been really great. If you enjoyed games like the Expeditions saga, Wartales, etc., this game could be a really good choice for you. I must say that even after six months since its rough launch, I still encountered quite a lot of bugs (especially with abilities not working properly), although only one of them forced me to restart a game. I was a little worried about the game's length after reading other people's comments, but after 20 hours (mostly playing in disconnected mode), it felt like enough for me. I honestly hope this won't be the last turn-based game from this developer, since it's clear that they have a really good formula on their hands, as well as both the vision and the ability to execute it. I just hope they continue to refine it in future iterations and make sure to improve the game's polish before release.
PROS

Graphics: For sure, the best graphics and visual effects I've seen in a turn-based game (XCOM, Wartales, Expeditions: Rome, etc.). It is a really beautiful game, and the attention to detail is extraordinary.
Narrative: As a single-player story-driven game, I generally think that the characters and story are well written, although the plot is neither particularly original nor surprising. I felt that the ending was a little rushed, without enough build-up, but perhaps I'm just being a little picky.

CONS

Gameplay bugs: In a turn-based strategy game, it is vital to be able to make good decisions. This becomes difficult when some abilities or perks do not (always) work as intended. Definitely the most annoying part of the game for me.
AI: The enemy AI needs to be improved. Even when playing at the highest difficulty, it was pretty passive and did not exploit its advantages in most situations.
Sehr Stimmungsvolles Wikinger-Epos.
Great game (even if short) but very unpolished game still.
Great story, cutscenes and fight mechanics. Fight animations are amazing! I wish the game was longer and had more features eg the England raid and more legendary gear. Overall great and wish there were more games like this one and hope this game can get a 2-3 times expansion and additional content. No bugs as such, some mechanics like trade could be a bit better but that's not the main purpose of the game so still a 10/10.
It is a very good turn based game. on the cons, I finished it in 19 hours, it has a linear story. on the pros it has a great story.
Good story, the action points and fight mechanics could be explained a bit better but the skill trees and weapons upgrades were designed well. If the difficulty were harder it would be better but overall a good game that will keep you entertained.
