100% not even close to being like aragami 1, only really for the die hard fans of aragami (me) the studio is gone so i don't really wanna give a bad review, the downsides very open and hard to find places to hide clunky combat (my opinion, i just find it weird that my parries do not parry properly / lock on mechanic requires more knowledge on how to use it) the loss of the cool stealth options in aragami 1 (yes i know about classic mode i just havent played it yet) it FEELS like it was supposed to be a live service game but never was (what i mean by this is, the grind for items feels like it is very long, i haven't actually ran into any issues yet but still) the upsides ARAGAMI 2!!! art is much better and more consistent than aragami 1, there wasnt much consistency issues, i just mean model quality and there not being weird voids in the map stealth feels about the same, just harder to enjoy because you cant go around the map the way you could in aragami 1 you unlock abilities (shadow vision) that would've required multiple upgrades in 1 overall it is a STEAL at 6 bucks rn, i wish there were mods for changing the playermodel cause i don't like this muscle hunk you play as
This game sucks, play the first one, its better in every way
Tl;dr: Honestly, I really had fun with this game, but I just have too many complaints to justify buying this at a $35 price tag. If it were like $15, I would definitely give it a recommend. *The good:* Really fun mobility, I love dashing around, teleporting to rooftops, etc. Satisfying kill animations. Charming music and graphics. Overall just good fun. *The bad/Personal dislikes:* Story's a bit convoluted. They re-use all of the levels a lot. It gets old. Enemy Aragamis have a tendency to fling you and you just die by fall damage. (Speaking of which, this game never should've had fall damage) Had my fair share of time where I clicked to assassinate and it just attacked, leading to my discovery. And sometimes the knockout button just doesn't work. You have to kinda spam it. Enemies go instantly aggressive if they spot you while you're within around 15 feet which I found to be poor design. You can drop past a window and god forbid someone was somewhat close to it, you get discovered because they saw you for .01 seconds. Lacking achievements for beating all of the missions in hard mode and for completing all the the missions with the special styles like "Killed all hostiles" and "Never discovered."
I had a great time with Aragami 2. It's a clear improvement over the first game in several ways. At first, I wasn't sold on the new movement system since it felt pretty different from the shadow teleportation of the original. But after playing for a while, it really clicked. The movement has a much better flow, making stealth, positioning, and chaining ninja-style assassinations feel smoother and more natural. That said, I really appreciate that the game still lets you play in a way that's closer to the original if you prefer the old shadow-focused approach. It's a nice option to have and makes the transition easier for returning players. The skill tree and customization are also a big upgrade. There are plenty of abilities and builds to experiment with, so you can tailor your playstyle instead of everyone playing the same way. In sum, I think Aragami 2 takes what made the first game fun and expands on it in meaningful ways. Definitely worth playing if you enjoyed the original.
초반에는 난이도가 좀 많이 어려움.근데 살수록 적응이 됨.(꽤 빨리) 2-3만 지나면 그냥 나쁘지 않게 진행이 됨. 다만 칼을 쓰다 보니까 난이도가 좀 있음. 히트맨 같은걸 기대하면 사지 마셈.그리고 최적화가 좀 아쉬움. 그것만 빼면 다 좋은 편임.아! 가격도 할인할때 사는걸 추천.정가는 좀 아닌듯;;
fun stealth game with smooth gameplay. lots of interesting abilities and customization. if you can co-op with someone its a really fun time. would love to see more of this type of game
It feels like a half-priced knockoff of the original game. The only thing remaining similar to the original is the player character's default appearance, the level completion medals, and teleporting, but ONLY teleporting to ledges. I bought this and the original game while they were both on sale (I bought the first game on Xbox when it first came out) and this is nothing like the original. Even for six dollars this wasn't worth it. The animations for everything are worse, the art lost the stylization it had in the original., and the gameplay has had most of what made it feel unique gutted like a salmon. The teleportation is exclusively if you're doing it onto a ledge to hang off of, UNLESS you're in "classic" mode. If you are, then like in the original, you're able to teleport from shadow to shadow, but you also die instantly from getting hit by almost any attack. However, now that there's a stamina meter, you can teleport exactly one time before you have enough stamina to do it again, as opposed to in the first game where you could do it up to three times consecutively at full energy. Notice that I said "stamina" when talking about this game and "energy" talking about the original? For some reason, they added a more detailed non-stealth combat to this game that adds the bare minimum required for it to exist: block. dodge, and parry. The stamina meter is used both in combat and when you teleport, Of course, this system is completely useless if more than one guard sees you, and you'll have to run and hide. It in no way makes up for the fact that most of the usefulness of teleporting is removed. How you earn skill points is now also generic and boring; rather than getting them by finding scrolls inside of the levels you just get experience points when you complete them. 3/10, I can see now why this company died after releasing this.
