KART KAZANMA OYUNU
(Got this game via a key from the developer. Thanks!)
Well, I guess there is no turning back, development halted 5 years ago!
No Turning Back: The Pixel Art Action-Adventure Roguelike (I'm not typing all of that again) is a slow and repetitive attempt at a roguelike by the developer of PHAT PHROG. You can choose several classes...which all look like the same goober when you're actually playing with subtle differences that you won't really care about since you can use weapons for other classes. You run around a randomly generated dungeon to kill bats, haunted armors, puppets (if I recall correctly), sentient acid spitting plants, and cultists...all of whom have recolors that don't make much difference. Leveling up takes forever, kill grinds take forever, bleedouts take forever, running speed is slow, and keys do absolutely nothing for chests and doors. Not just that, but your home base is completely useless and empty. This game is "in progress" as of this review (6/6/2021), but it's clear that development has been abandoned on a project that seems to be too ambitious. Everything about this particular title is bland, boring, and unimaginitive. There is no fancy plot, no big bad guy, no super special treasure, just your generic character walking in a dungeon, killing enemies to unlock doors and get weapons...that's about it. You'll find yourself frustrated playing this as you have high goals to unlock all characters...or you can buy the DLC to unlock all characters to get those rare achievements for $10 ($2.50 when it's on sale). Would I recommend this title? No way! There is nothing redeemable about this title and you're in for a boring time if you do get it. Save your money and play something like Realm of the Mad God instead. 0.1/10 The scope was too large for the developer...but I guess even he had to look back and wonder if this was a good idea.
Played the game for 6 minutes and it crashed when I tried to whack a weed with a dagger. Controls are a bit confusing, and you have to be awfully close to items to use them, but overall adaptable. Music is repetitive, but not terrible. Movement is sluggish, but there is some sprinting it seems. The rooms themselves seem very repetitive, there doesn't seem to be much variety, granted I didn't get very far but in the short time I played the room layouts were already looping. It's not the worst game I've played, but I still wouldn't recommend it.
Roguelike disaster.
Hey everyone and this is my review about the game! This is a Pixelated rogue like game.
Interface/Menu/Settings
You are able to toggle the Sound volume. You are able to toggle the Music volume. You are able to toggle the hints. You can Press Alt+enter to make it fullscreen.
About the game.
You are in some kind of basement. If you want to say "This game looks familiar". The idea concept is the same as binding of isaac. You are playing with a character and you have to defeat enemies room per room. Once you have entered a doorway, you can't travel back and you have no idea what you are walking too. There is no map. You have to cook raw meat on top of a campfire before you are able to eat this. Damage isnt scaling well and it takes forever to kill enemies especially at higher floors. Some Equipment looks "hanging", instead of being equipped, Controls sometiems feel sloppy. Sometimes i have the feeling that hitboxes are not matching correctly. Sometimes i can't pick up items at all. Even if i got space. Pretty boring. There is no pause button. Repetitive music. Your character walks slow.
Other things.
Just bad, Don't get. ------------------- I Give this game a 4/10
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
