This game does a wonderful job getting you attached to the characters and then break you emotionally. The endings will absolutely destroy you, it’s one of those games where the endings will live on your mind for days and days. This game is phenomenal and it’s a MUST play if you want to experience a beautifully written story.
Very elaborate ad for book and other media that came after. Bravo, Yoko Taro!
part one is hella boring, basically a boy errand simulator but trust me it gets good and best play for all the ending. The problem is that there a plenty of great games out there you only gotta play once for a great story.
we all love kaine
NO SPOILER REVIEW gonna be honest, this game is indeed a masterpiece as everyone is saying, but its the most boring thing i've played in a while, the only thing that kept me playing was the lore, and i say lore, i mean uniquely the lore, i did not enjoy any of the characters, they felt flat af, i dont know if its just a me thing since i hate archetype characters, there is the wise one, the hero one, the edgelord one, and the innocent kid one, i could not stand it anymore after finishing 2 bosses of the second part so i just quitted and watched the rest in youtube, i did got interested enough to return to do ending E, so i loaded a save from someone else and did it, thats why i have almost all trophies, BUT BRO, HEAR ME WHEN I SAY THIS IS THE WORST WAY YOU COULD INCREASE THE PLAYTIME OF YOUR GAME, THERE ARE 5 ENDINGS, IN ORDER TO GET THE FIRST 3, YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE ENTIRE GAME 3 TIMES, EXACTLY 3 TIMES, YOU BEAT THE SAME BOSSES, EVERYTHING AGAIN, I WAS GLAD I JUST MADE IT A QUIT AFTER PART 2, BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER DO ALL OF THIS 3 TIMES in conclusion, if you find this extremely boring, youre not alone, this is not a masterpiece in gameplay, and also, dont play it on hard mode, the only thing that changes is that now the enemies take 3 business days to die, nothing in the actual difficult change, its just that now enemies feel even more boring to fight because they take so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time to die, if youre playing this before nier automata in order to play it afterwards and you just find it extremely boring, seriously, dont force yourself to finish it, just watch the cutscenes in youtube or use a savefile for each ending

i will kiss yoko taro
Will make you cry 100% recommended AND guaranteed. The game's strength is it's story and characters, my word I love it so much. The gameplay is also fun, although at times repetitive if you want to get all the endings, however it is worth it. There is this thing called auto-battle you can put on for the repetitive parts that you've already played. I'm up to ending E, once I'm done with that I cannot wait to play Automata.
