I was on a holiday trip so chose a casual game. With the help of hints there's no real trouble in the gameplay. A regular hidden objects game you know what to expect, the highlights might be the procedure using benzene(?) and sodium sulfate to develop a photo like having the chemistry class, while the rest are lackluster. The story is highly predictable, the finding item part can be a bit tough as most of the time player is required to go back and forth in several maps during one place for items and solutions. I find it not exciting, mostly because all were not surprising, as I collected multiple tools including scissors, knive, ruler, screwdriver, coin, crowbar etc to open sealed boxes. I picked so many I could make a Victorinox. Besides, opening a unique-looking box using a significant ring with symbols just to get a regular item like those to be picked up at common place is disappointing. I persisted to make it to the end to play the bonus chapter, which should be part of the main story as it is highly related. This chapter is heavily laid on puzzle solving, melting several metals in order to get liquids, yet I was just following orders from a paper instruction rather than having my own idea, the story is hollow like before. What feels extremely odd is player took a treasure box that looks heavy with several metal chains and locks, yet in the cutscene 2 people take one side of it so easily like it has no weight. Having completed it, I feel the game lacks consistency, just pieces and puzzles being roughly put together to service a simple story - as the title shows - an outbreak. If you like mini puzzles go for it, I didn't have much fun. My curator page
Very nice fun game. Always people to talk with. Lots of detailed cut scenes. Bonus chapter was kind of gagety. Otherwise very good solid game. Lots of fun.
I wish there was a maybe button rather than yes I would recommend or no I wouldn't. The word for these games is overkill. Always overkill. Things go on far too long. Instead of 2 or 3 rounds of a puzzle, these games will always have 7 or 8. It gets to where you are letting your mind wander to what you'll have for breakfast tomorrow. Video games are supposed to be fun, not an interminable chore. This game has potential, but just doesn't know when to quit. There is always a bonus round and then another extra section where you can just play the same puzzle over and over on higher difficulty. It's as though the game developers didn't have any oversight whatsoever. They bickered among each other about which puzzles to cut. Like true egomaniacs, they finally chose to cut nothing and now we have to suffer through round 27 of the 14th slider puzzle. And that's just in Chapter 1! Some of the clothing and background don't match the time period. I think the developers didn't know anything about the 1950s except the 57 Chevy, so that's what they put in the game. All the male characters have hair that is far too long, and one guy even looks like Phil Lesh from the Grateful Dead with shaggy hair covering his eyes. Not even the Beatniks had hair that long. A little research goes a long way fellas. Not even sure why they set it in the 50s anyway. That has nothing to do with the story other than making the main character wear far too much makeup to be a supernatural journalist or whatever she's calling herself now. Some of the translations are wrong. Records are shown as "plates" and some of the dialogue is awkward. Hints are also a bit useless. The one time I broke down and clicked for a hint, the advice it gave me was wrong. It kept telling me to insert something into a machine, but I didn't have a screwdriver to remove the bolts. I guess the game decided I was on my own. All in all, the game is passable. But it aint no Family Mysteries or Eventide.
First question: What did you do to Laura? Is this her new "update" and a more modern look? I rather liked the beautiful woman she was in the previous games! This one looks like an elite teenager. D: Second question........... WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED TO WILL?! He was such an adorable scientist! Now I am SCARED to look at his FACE!!! And to rub it in... They actually made him appear more on the screen. BRRRRR!!! Well, if only that mattered, I would've been solely disappointed. But I am not. The game was... Alright. It had a different feel from the other ones. They tried different things. That's fine to do... As long as you don't mess it up too badly. Apart from those two changes listed... I can't complain. I've played worse. I've played better. This one is more in the neutral territory. I rather liked the previous series far better. But oh well. I don't think I know of a single H.O.G. series that makes only "spectacular" games. So I am just mild. (Also... That bespectacled man in the Bonus Game? He looks like A TURTLE!!! His head is far smaller than his body/clothing. Lmao.)
Рисовка красивая, сюжет интересный, загадки средней сложности. Но как стала выглядеть главная героиня, мне не особо понравилось.
Очень интересная игра, и вообще вся серия мне очень понравилась. Может пятая часть выйдет, я бы поиграл
No complaints, this is a better than average hidden object game. It's not too onerous to get all of the achievements for this game, I managed to get them all in one playthrough on hard difficulty. Story is ok, cut-scenes are ok, voice acting is ok. Puzzles are of medium difficulty and not the annoying kind where you move one thing and it messes up the rest of the puzzle. The extra puzzles were quire good too. Hog images are good quality. There isn't too much too-ing and fro-ing and they haven't put hidden object scenes in stupid faraway places.

う~ん、全体を通して今ひとつ。ヒントが紛らわしい(難しく考えるとハマる。単純に考えればいい。)ことやパズル自体も難易度は低いが楽しくない、ストーリーも今ひとつ。
