The further you venture into your new land, the more exciting your tasks become and the more difficult they become to complete. (Developer) You bought a property without knowing what to expect. Now you look at your new property and realize that everything has to be rebuilt. This is the story you then earn. A different kind of collecting game. Repair and build. And with a completely different gameplay than usual. Simple cards, simple game principle. It's just about producing ever-increasing amounts of goods in order to have to produce even more. It's flawless and quite interesting. But I only played it up to the second mine (LvL 30-31). The quantities are so high that it is just a time waster and no longer fun. There are definitely people who still like it. Anyway, I don't like it. Because flawless thumbs up, but nothing more. Je weiter Sie sich in Ihr neues Land vorwagen, desto spannender werden Ihre Aufgaben und desto schwieriger werden sie zu erfüllen. (Entwickler) Du hast ein Anwesen gekauft ohne zu wissen was dich erwartet. Nun schaust du dir dein neuen Besitz an und stellst fest es muß alles wieder Aufgebaut werden. Dies ist die Geschichte die du dann erspielen tust. Ein Sammelspiel der anderen Art. Reparieren und Aufbauen. Und das mit einem gänzlich anderen Gameplay wie gewohnt. Einfache Karten, einfaches Spielprinzip. Es geht nur darum immer größer werdende Mengen an Waren herzustellen um noch mehr Herstellen zu müssen. Es ist Fehlerlos und durchaus Interessant gemacht. Aber ich hab es nur bis zur zweiten Mine gespielt (LvL 30-31). Die Mengen sind so hoch das es nur noch ein Zeitfresser ist und kein Spaß mehr macht. Es gibt bestimmt Leute die es dennoch gut finden. Ich jedenfalls mag es nicht. Weil fehlerlos Daumen rauf, mehr aber auch nicht. New Lands is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is a pointless "12 Labours of Hercules" screen tapper/clicker mobile app. There's no gameplay, just tapping on the screen. The mobile app is made to look like you're making interesting decisions as you're presented with a map of a town/village/pathway that has you clicking on various things to collect things which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. This is so lame and shallow, you could write a script to randomly click the screen and given enough time, it would beat the game. The shady developer behind this valueless shovelware has proven to be a persistent nuisance abusing Steam Direct... they've dumped over a hundred valueless mobile app tier asset flips onto Steam, many featuring plagiarised/stolen stock art and other unethical, shady behaviours. 8Floor has copy + pasted this particular game, with minor reskins, an insane THIRTY TWO TIMES onto Steam... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? This valueless copy + paste garbage is taking up marketing space for genuine indie developers who are doing the right thing. It's harmful to the industry and to gamers. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the mobile app or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this mobile app is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this mobile app will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality mobile phone graphics. The mobile app only displays in mobile phone style ultra-pillarboxed aspect ratio unless you switch to Windowed mode. While it's possible this could be due to hamfisted attempts from the developer to tell me without any doubt that he knows the native resolution of my monitor better than I do (he is wrong), this is just one of many indications this was developed to be a mobile app and not a serious PC game. It's not acceptable for developers to dump garbage like this on Steam when it's not even formatted or designed to run properly on modern PC gaming displays, to the point that this could be considered insulting. The mobile app features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the mobile app was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The mobile app is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this mobile app below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this mobile app is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 9 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality mobile app is to be expected. Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $5 USD, on the Play Store, it's free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay FIVE BUCKS FOR A FREE MOBILE APP just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. Because this can be played free elsewhere, and because of the other defects, it's impossible to recommend. Who do they think we are?

Sehr nettes Spiel. Hat mich zu Beginn einiges an Zeit gekostet (haha^^) das Spielprinzip richtig zu verstehen, weil ich andere Time-Management-Spiele mit der Aufgabe Weg Freiräumen gewöhnt bin. Musste deswegen sogar anfangs auf Leicht umstellen, weil ich wie sonst üblich keine 3 Sterne geschafft habe. Aber so nach 10 Missionen kam dann der richtige Workflow bei mir an, wie man Gebäudestufen und Produkte in einem guten Verhältnis levelt und verkauft. Von da an war der Schwierigkeitsgrad für mich auch echt gut ausbalanciert, was ich zu Beginn als viel zu schwer empfunden hatte. Den zweiten Teil vom Spiel fand ich dann sogar etwas leichter, den Dritten derzeit aber sogar noch etwas schwerer. Für ein Durchspielen einer Karte bekommt man bis zu 3 Sterne. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Spielen kann man diese Sterne sammeln und für Extras in Form von 30 Minuten Bonusse bei der Arbeit einsetzen. So kann man 30 Minuten lang 10, 20 oder 30% schnellere Ernte, höhere Verkaufspreise oder günstigere Upgrades erkaufen. Leider läuft die Zeit mit der Systemuhr, wer mal für kleine Mädchen geht hat halt Pech gehabt, wenn danach alles weg ist (Memo an mich selbst: weniger Kaffee oder Bier dabei trinken, haha ^^). Die Punkte musste ich am Ende nur bei einigen Karten einsetzen (30 Minuten reichen für 2-3 Runden, man kann alles gleichzeitig kaufen, wenn man will oder muss, also bis zu 60% auf alles!), vor allem bei den Bonusleveln. (50+5 Level insgesamt). Grafik und Sound sind wie bei anderen Spielen dieser Art gut, das Leveldesign und der allgemeine Spielspaß ist nach meinem Empfinden sehr gut gelungen. Die Story kommt leider etwas sehr kurz, aber andere machen da auch nicht unbedingt viel mehr. Ich hatte am Ende sehr viel Spaß damit. Schade nur, dass es keine Sammelkarten und Steam Errungenschaften gibt (nur Ingame, 100% ist leicht möglich). Fazit: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!

Game was fun until level 20 but now i cant seem to go any further -Nothing is telling me why i cannot progress, found all 20 puzzles - no help on the internet either. I decided to try switch to easy mode on level 20 and when i completed the level , suddenly i could go to level 21 - it does not say anywhere you have to get stars on that level to progress to level 21. Most stages on normal level you do not even reach 2 stars - time just runs out. There is also no help on this game, if you ask question in discussions , no-one answers. So as a plain point and click game with finding puzzle on each level its a nice game , if you have nothing better to play. I'd rather say play New Lands 2 Collector's edition - at least on that one there are guides and you tube videos to help you if you get stuck.

Premier opus d'un jeu de gestion de ressources, ce New Lands nous propose de suivre les aventures d'un nouveau propriétaire foncier qui développe ses possessions aux travers de champs, fabriques et fermes. On produit des ressources, on les transforme et on les vend. Chaque type de bâtiment a 4 niveaux d' amélioration. Le jeu se compose de 50 niveaux + 5 niveaux bonus débloqués par pièces de puzzle cachées dans chaque niveau. On peut soit jouer avec un chronomètre (assez complexe sur certains niveau) pour gagner 1 à 3 étoiles, soit sans le temps ce qui vous donne les 3 étoiles, que l'on peut convertir en différents bonus pour une durée de 30 minutes. Graphiques plaisants, musique un peu agaçante par moment, le jeu est un bon moment de détente. Des succès sont présents dans le jeu. Durée de vie de 13 heures pour ma part.
