I got this game recently as it new, and I have to say that although I recommend it, it comes with a proviso. There are a couple of bugs that are in the game and involve the puzzles. For example, at one point you are required to put 2 fuses into an electrical panel. Of course you have to find them first and I found one only, so I couldn't restart the electricity supply. And no matter where I looked I couldn't find the second. However, once I fixed the motor bike the game took me further into the story and onto a new map with no means to get back to finding the other fuse so I don't know whether I'll be returning to that point, but somehow I doubt it. All in all a decent enough game but there is something not quite right about it that I can't put my finger on. Oh, well I'll finish the game and see what happens.
I can't pull the ladder down with the umbrella. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but can't progress any further.
It's a decent hog, with the usual mindless puzzles, but the "bonus" level is broken
I enjoyed it. About 5 hours for me.
Though I like the Mystery Trackers series as such, this is not so much a review, but advice on how to navigate around the umbrella problem in chapter 2. The umbrella will not work anywhere the little wheel is turning on the cursor when hovering over the ladder. But if you get a hint from the frog, it will show you a totally unrelated spot on the screen where to apply the umbrella, and the ladder will incongruously come down.
it quit mid way...
I like this game, as I do the rest of the Mystery Trackers series I've played so far. If this were not part of a bigger series I would not recommend. It seems this game was published without through play testing. Here are the problems I came across and how to get past them. 1. You cannot beat the game without skips, the crystal house puzzle is completely bugged and thus unsolvable 2. The item used to lower the ladder must be used in the center of the screen, not directly where the ladder prompt is. 3. It'll say to make all tiles blue in the instructions of one on the minigames, this is wrong, they all must be green. I hope not to encounter such issues it the future installments. ☆★★★★
