Прежде всего хочу сказать, что я очень рад: разработчики Do Games Limited как следует потрудились над игрой, не только создав сюжетный набор головоломок, но и избавив своё детище от преследующих предыдущие игры проблем. Игру спокойно можно пройти на русском языке и собрать все достижения, которые захотите. Также я не обнаружил ни единого бага, который влиял бы на игровой процесс. Во всём остальном, перед нами, как я уже сказал, типичный набор головоломок и мини-игр на поиск предметов, ещё и с мистическим сюжетом. Головоломок немало, многие хорошо знакомы по предыдущим играм, но теперь они несколько изменены внешне или механика их решения иная. Также есть и новички. Сложность загадок колеблется, равно как и их занудство. Есть простые головоломки, но на их решение придётся потратить немало времени. Это отнюдь не плохо – если надоест решать какую-нибудь загадку, можно её пропустить. Мини-игр на поиск предметов не очень много, но они всегда вовремя разнообразят игровой процесс. Пару раз они повторяются на одном фоне. Ну а весь остальной геймплей акцентирован на применении предметов на окружение и чтении сюжетных записок. Бонусной главы на сей раз нет, но платное дополнение – на месте. Чтобы получить все достижения и наилучшую концовку, потребуется его приобрести. Также есть и полторы сотни коллекционных предметов. Если собрать все, в главном меню можно пройти ещё одну мини-игру на поиск предметов. В этот раз все предметы собираются совершенно спокойно в основной игре. В игре отличная музыка. Персонажи не озвучены, но, в принципе, и не надо. Для анимации, что видно невооружённым глазом, использовалось ИИ. В целом, Secrets of Salem: The Phantom Cab Collector's Edition – это неплохой сборник сюжетных головоломок и мини-игр на поиск предметов. Никаких багов или проблем в игре нет. Hiden Object Games have a Special Place in my Heart. I remember many Years ago when i found one by Accident how the Passion started. I love how there were Games based on Books like Robinson Crusoe or inspired by Movies like the Pirates of the Carribean Series. I was Always looking for good Storys. Like this One. In 1951, a mysterious black cab with a sinister headless driver roams the streets of Salem. When young Elliot Jonas is found dead, fear spreads through the city. Detective Victor Grayson travels to Salem to investigate the case; he wants to find out where his brother, Thomas Grayson, has disappeared. He is greeted by Sam, who shows him a list of five victims who disappeared after riding in the black cab. Unfortunately, his brother, Thomas, has also been seen riding in this sinister vehicle. He decides to visit the home of Janet Jonas, Elliot's mother. From this encounter, he senses a dark force thirsting for revenge. On Sam's advice, he agrees to work with Dakota Lovelace, a woman who runs an esoteric shop. He must find everything he needs to perform a ritual. Only in this way can they discover who is hiding behind the black cab and finally stop its madcap rampage. A hidden object adventure with a mysterious plot, well-crafted item-search scenes, and medium-difficulty minigames. In each location, there are collectibles to collect that unlock an extra hidden object scene. There's a map to travel between locations, a "Help" button, and a button for the complete guide. There's no bonus chapter, and to complete the collectibles and objectives, you'll need to purchase the separate paid DLC. The music is fitting; it seems to transport you back in time to the small jazz-lounge bands that played in nightclubs. честно говоря, ожидала лучшего от этой игры, но по большей части разочаровалась. была какая-то нелепая анимация и даже местами очень кривая у говорящих персонажей, некоторые локации повторялись лишь с несколько измененной формой...головоломки были прикольные, да, но самого сюжета всего лишь на 4 часа без ДЛС. сюжет показался мне несколько абсурдным в реализации, хотя вроде бы было интересно, исходя из описания...по ощущениям тут использовалось что-то от ИИ, иначе я не могу объяснить, почему коты выполняют странные и несуразные движения, что уж там касательно людей...и сильно раздражало то, что даже не удосужились перевести нормально письма, вставляя "перевод" в окно сбоку, из-за которого приходилось кликать по несколько раз на предмет, что крайне раздражало. в другой же игре, которую я брала ранее, такого не было! там все было переведено на совесть и выглядело лучше. от этой части я скорее получила разочарование...лично я считаю, оно того не стоит.

AI is here but no one warns you about it. It makes the game ugly and uncomfortable to play. I played a few games of this studio before and they were much more pleasant to play from the visual standpoint. In this game AI burns eyes but the story is also a crap. Puzzles are decent but sometimes too illogical to be resolve without help or accidental click. I'm very dissapointed, this game 100% does not cost it full price. I bought it with 80% discount and even this seems too much for this AI abomination. I'm sorry, Do Games, but you lost a loyal customer.

[h2]En bref[/h2] Pour l'histoire, vous incarnez un inspecteur durant les années 50, à la recherche d'un mystérieux assassin qui collectionne les victimes, dont le propre frère de l'inspecteur. Signe distinctif : un taxi noir est toujours aperçu sur les lieux des disparitions. La police n'ayant aucune piste, il va falloir envisager des possibilités moins conventionnelles. Et c'est là que commence votre rôle. [h2] Le jeu [/h2] Assez proche dans la structure des Artifex Mundi, nos amis russes, heu, pardon, chypriotes, de Domini Games (éditeur multi plateformes avec une centaine de jeux au compteur) ne nous apportent pas une révolution : tout au plus quelques touches de différence dans les scènes d'objets cachés, comme les rechercher à l'aide d'indices cachés dans des textes, par exemple. Pour ce qui est des énigmes, c'est assez déroutant, celles-ci allant de l'évident au capillotracté sans réelle progression. Les graphismes, à l'instar du modèle, sont propres, même si on reste dans du travail à la chaine qui sent bon le recyclage. Les musiques sont correctes et tentent parfois de coller à l'époque en tentant une ambiance jazzie, mais, en revanche, pas un seul doublage, fut-il en anglais. C'est assez inhabituel. La durée de vie est bonne également. Les chapitres sont accompagnés de choix, qui vous rapportent des points, lesquels vous gratifieront de fins alternatives. [h2]Mais voilà[/h2] La politique commerciale du studio est assez discutable. En soi, l'existence de DLC dans ce genre de jeux n'est pas une nouveauté, et se limite généralement à une mini aventure en bonus. Sauf que là, c'est différent, car le DLC apporte des scènes directement dans le déroulement du jeu et apportent des points par le biais de choix tout au long du scénario. En d'autres termes, si vous voulez vraiment profiter du jeu de base tel qu'il devrait être, vous êtes devant un paywall constitué d'un DLC structurel. Franchement, ce n'est pas très délicat et, au vu de la concurrence dans ce domaine, c'est assez malvenu. Comme de bien entendu, même si le jeu de base peut être trouvé en solde, le DLC, lui, ne l'est pas. En effet, si le prix catalogue est de 17 euros, on constate un remise de 80% en 6 mois, le tarif du DLC restant, lui, fixe. Le joueur a l'impression de faire une bonne affaire, mais dans les faits, la somme après remise correspond in fine au prix d'équilibre réel, soit 6-8 euros, le DLC servant d'ancrage tarifaire. Et ça, c'est TRES roublard comme dark pattern. Il est à noter que ce système n'a été mis en place que sur Steam : serions-nous considérés comme de meilleurs pigeons potentiels ? [h2]En conclusion[/h2] En conclusion, je ne vois pas grand chose de vraiment significatif par rapport à la concurrence, et en prime ce studio vend un jeu amputé dès le premier jour. Pour ma part, ça ne me donne pas envie de le recommander, d'autant que le jeu est nommé "édition collector" sans l'être pour un sou... Das Spiel ist ok. Story kurz aber ok. Es gab 4 Hänger. Wobei das Spiel durch mehrfachen Fensterwechsel (zw. Steam App und Spiel) weiter lief. Nervig aber machbar. Kein Bonusspiel. HOGs sind, Rätsel nicht zu schwer, teilweise sehr leicht. Reduziert ok. Schade das bei diesen Spiele nur mit DLC alles spielbar ist. Mit DLC mir zu teuer. Schade, das Steam scheinbar nicht auf Euro umrechnet, sondern $ = € rechnet.

this is a very very low recommend. it was my first hidden object game and i did have fun. but i beat the base game in 5.5hrs. also, this isnt the full game. the best ending requires the paid dlc. so they want $12 for the base game and then another $4 for the dlc. for just 5.5hrs of gameplay. granted the dlc would prob bump it up to 7 hrs but its still not worth it at full price. only on a very deep discount. as far as the gameplay itself, it was fun. nothing too convoluted. i did end up skipping a couple puzzles. mostly cause i was tired and didnt have the energy to put into them. but a vast majority of the puzzles are pretty easy. graphics are ok. theres no voice acting in it. which honestly was fine. i feel like it would have been terrible VA if was included. just the vibe you get from the game. it did crash every time i tried to exit the game too. click main menu and it would crash or freeze. and this is kind of a petty complaint but the game says its the collectors edition. looking at their other games, they all say that and none of them include the dlc with them. so im really not sure why it has the special title of collectors edition. i think if this game and the dlc are on a very very steep discount, itd be fun to grab and kill a few hours. i did enjoy it. i def had enough fun with it that im interested in other hidden object games now. just prob not from these devs unless, like i said, very steep discount.
