This review may get a little cheesy. When I saw this game was first announced, I was intrigued. I enjoyed Cupheads floppy-hose animation style which I was reminded of. I also enjoy New Blood's Fallen Aces which I am also reminded of. And for the record I also loved Doom Eternal. Mouse PI I finally picked up during the Steam summer sale. Man am I glad I picked it up. I love this pop-culture referencing packed liner arena noir shooter. I was able to 100% achievements. I enjoyed searching levels and jumping around trying to get into nooks and crannies to discover secrets. The movement and control is spectacular. I will admit the enemy variation can get a little stagnant. However the animation and reskin\costumes for the enemies has such variation I don't mind it all. In fact I love it! The boss fights and deviations from the mold are also a nice touch. I really only had an issue with the final boss. The set pieces sometimes left me in awe and sometimes just a simple OK. Like off-brand brick cheese. All in all I very much enjoyed this one and looking for to more expansion. Thank you Fumi Games! (Yes I found the Veloper secret)

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 29.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 28.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

No One Lives Forever, Wolfenstein New Order, XIII

Mouse: PI For Hire made me return to gaming in 2026 like no other game. Very engaging, fun and also interesting that keeps on you on the edge with its story mode. Full of surprises as well with different turns in each level of mystery that the main character private investigator Jack Pepper has to solve. I beat the main story line in under 20 hours and I cant wait for the upcoming DLC content that the game will eventually have later on that brings the shining gem this game is in the FPS, first person category made by Fumi Games. Totally worth the price and also the Deluxe Edition as well which I got the full package. I highly recommend this title because it brings magnificent story with itself like no other and its unique as well set in a black and white ink world of mouse. Thumbs up and I give it a positive rating inconclusion.

This game looks great but becomes so boring so fast. Enter room. Enemies spawn. Enemies run towards you. Shoot enemies. Repeat.
Mouse P.I. For Hire presents itself as charming game wrapped in a 1930s noir scenery. Your first few hours are spent ogling over the aesthetic. Enjoying the musical score. And trying to figure out what the hell blue cheese is. Unfortunately, once I got past the surface, the game felt a bit shallower than I wanted it to be. Positives: A gritty noir aesthetic. A great story. Phenomenal voice acting. Fun cheese references. A surprisingly satisfying baseball minigame. Quirky weapon design. Negatives: Unremarkable, formulaic gunplay and little mechanical innovation. Little to no progression outside of weapons upgrades. Almost no actual detective gameplay. A clue board that largely solves itself. Obvious placement of evidence. A detective fantasy that is mostly delivered through story rather than self discovery and ownership. Recommendations: Trim the fat with weapons. Hone in on 6-7 really well designed guns with more expansive and choice driven progression. Allow damage buildup to activate canned spinach, peppers, or coffee. Include skill trees/B.A.N.G. progression for those abilities. Introduce a toggleable detective mode: interrogation minigames rather than strict dialogue, clue interpretation, and mechanics to solving the clue board. Allow incorrect deductions to have minor consequences. Overall impression: I enjoyed the world, characters, and overall atmosphere. It's stylish and full of personality. I just wanted the game to trust me with actual detective work. It's difficult for me to recommend unless you want a detective themed shooter that does not require much detecting.
