WAIT TO BUY I bought premium edition shortly after the sorcery DLC. Ive loved my playtime so far, but the issue is, upon the release of parades. i was not given access to the new DLC. This is despite the fact that if i bought a the same product today, the Premium Edition, it WOULD contain a copy of the missing DLC. I was not even offered a discount on the DLC for owning "Premium" edition being expected to pay the full price for the DLC of 18 dollars. I bought the premium edition then on sale at around 45 dollars, and today the Premium Edition I can purchase a new copy of premium, CONTAINING Parades, for around 55 between the sale and my discount for already owning the previous DLC. That means had I waited until today to buy I likely would have saved money, and so despite my excitement for this DLC, i must say i do not recommend purchase it, nor any the base game or any dlc until after the lifespan of the game and all dlc is included with your copy of premium edition, where you will likely be able to get significantly more content included with your purchasing power. My disapointment is immesurable, and my day is ruined, and i dont see myself likely to continue playing the game until i know I can purchase a premium edition that wont become obsolete next update.
I genuinely think the only thing that holds this game back over its predecessor, of which I have over 500 hours, is the guest limit cap and lack of spooky theme items. I mean I'd even pay for the spooky PC1 pack again if it meant I could make a proper haunted house. 30,000 guests at 10fps didn't bother me back then and it wouldn't bother me now either. Props for the coaster smoothing improvements. Performance issues are still annoying, but its bearable, as it was in the last game. Keep the packs coming, keep them cheap and bring in some spooky stuff and it'll be as good as the first, in my opinion.
The launch was very week but they did a No Mans Sky type of redemption arc, and now this game is unbelievably good. My only gripe is that they did a built-in multiplatform workshop and it is extremely rough.
Bought this game specifically for the waterparks, and even that was a disappointment. I spent 2 hours just trying to get the path system to work since somehow they have now made it worse than planet coaster 1. The pools have similar issues to the path system, and water now keeps draining from my pools when I add on to them. I haven't even got to properly playing the game, just trying to get my paths and pools to work.
It's just not fun. Everything feels sterile. The annoyed guests don't really complain. Money eventually rolls in. Overall, there just isn't anything exciting or fun about it unless I suppose you really like building roller coasters and nit-picking most details. That's just not for me.
If you loved the first one, you'll also enjoy the second. If you're looking for a game with pre-built rides and buildings to make a park, this probably isn't the best game for you. There is a lot of custom content on the workshop, but this game will really shine if you're someone who is creative, and likes to build from the ground up. Love the Planet series games, and highly recommend this one, as well!
The most relaxing, chill game ever played. Amazing soundtrack and just overall fun. A great way to relax after slaying demons for hours upon hours.
