Morgan: Metal Detective

Really wholesome game that hooked me with the colourful and soft visuals. Only a few gentle missions in so far but looking forward to learning more about the island and its inhabitants (and finding some more treasures and scrap!).

Really fun game in an underserved genre. I need more metal detecting games! The artistic direction is beautiful and the whole game plays like a nice stroll through Cornwall.

My wife's been playing this on PS5 and I decided to pick it up on Steam so I could play on PC :) Really enjoyable game about exploring a Cornish island, meeting the folk that live there, and helping them out with your metal detector. Nice and relaxing, there's no jeopardy, just a lovely place to explore (the visuals are simple, but effective), interesting people to meet, and a touching story at the core to keep you interested. Great voice acting too. It's definitely a little janky, but I've not encountered any game breaking bugs, so hopefully the developers can sort out the remaining issues in some patches. Recommended!

There is a lot of charm in this game, especially in the character art, voice acting (such great accents), and story. I've spent most of my time so far with the in-game camera just wandering around the island discovering things to put in my notebook. I almost forget there are a bunch of quests to do... As others have mentioned there are a few things that could use some polish or tweaking (notably the camera motion) but it seems as though the devs are actively addressing feedback so I imagine these early issues will be ironed out soon. Overall a really gentle and calming experience!

Just getting into the second part of the game and am really enjoying Morgan so far. It's quite a different kind of game, very relaxed, something you can play that isn't going to stress you out but still keeps you interested in finding the next clues along the way whilst exploring the island. It's very well crafted, really beautiful environments and the overall ambience is lovely - the music, art, and audio all fit together very nicely. Recommended!

A nice little cozy game about metal detecting. I think it could use more polish to bring out it's strengths though. $19 is too expensive though for a game this bare bones.

Bugs have been fixed and The game is a fun little experience. Was not expecting the voice acting.

It is a cute game, but 3 hours of gameplay for this price seems like too much. The art style is very cute, and the story is also interesting, but there are limits to exploring/you cannot explore or find much outside of where the mission guides you to. It would be more fun if it was more to explore/access in the world, but not sure there is much room to add, since the story is very short.

Charming and peaceful way to pass the time. The art direction and sound design are fabulous and make for a meditative environment to putter around. Captures something ineffable about the experience of being at the shore, no matter where you are.
