Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played stories 1 on my og 3ds, and this game is such an improvement on it in so many ways. So much QoL, visual improvements, the obvious benefits of pc hardware over a 3ds allowing for that kind of stuff. The changes made to the hunting horn is somewhat controversial in the transition from stories 1 to 2, but i find that the melody mechanic was very slow to get off for the loss of damage you got over the other weapons, so they changed it to be more of a "caster" weapon with how the songs get played, which i think was to its benefit. I would highly recommend this game if ur interested

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Not that fun of a rock-paper-scissor style RPG. The story isn't interesting and the battles get old. The collecting aspect is fun I suppose but it's not enough to interest me. It's also missing cool aspects from the first game like the monsters changing color based on their elemental strengths. Multiplayer is pretty barebones.
Just finished the Story; such a well made game!!! This creature collector game situated on the world of Monster Hunter will inmerse you into the fun and satisfaction of being a rider, collecting eggs, and defeating monsters in a rock, paper, scissors mechanic turn based combat. I have never beaten a turn based game before, but this one was fun and challenging, added by a wholesome monster hunter story. It could be better in some quality of life aspects like moving genes in the monster itself (something MHS3 adds later on), but otherwise, such a greatgame with tons of content. I beated the main story with 36hours, and high rank barely starts now.
Como explicar Monster Hunter Stories 2? Pra começar, o próprio menu já me ganhou. Aquela linda chega gritando e pronto. Minha alma saiu do corpo. Eu chorei. Bom. A Capcom ganhou.
I decided to play Monster Hunter Stories 1 & 2 back to back. I am glad I did. The amount of MHS1 cameos in MHS2 is insane! Many of them I enjoyed (Except Navirou. Why is he in MHS2? Apparently he ditched MHS1 Rider??? So much for being a pawtner...). The gameplay is a straight upgrade. Nonetheless, combat remains the weakest thing in the series. RNG is largely gone in combat now thankfully. But fights will still drag on. Bosses are still health tanks. Even so, I enjoyed my MHS2 journey. The story was heartfelt if a tad repetitive (we once again have a Rathalos named Ratha...Navirou doesn't mind stealing Ratha the First's name I guess). A good game and fun monster friend collector. If feeling hesitant get on sale with MHS1. I highly recommend playing MHS1 first. Vastly increases your appreciation of characters in MHS2. I was cheering when old friends reappeared (excluding Navirou).
Why did they make Tsukino so smashable 😭😭😭
