Monkey Island™ 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge™

Just finished Monkey Island 2, and wow what a great game! Such a great experience on the Steam Deck too! Shout out to Ron Gilbert, your game is timeless! I really enjoyed switching between the graphic modes of the OG Monkey Island game and the remastered version. Also the game's developers commentary on various scenes was an amazing touch imo. Highly recommended

Monkey Island 2 Special Edition is a lovely way to revisit one of the all-time great point-and-click adventures. The hand-painted updated visuals look gorgeous, the new voice acting fits perfectly, and the ability to toggle back to the original art and audio at the press of a button is the kind of fan-respecting feature more remasters should adopt. The writing and humor still hold up beautifully, Guybrush is as charmingly hapless as ever, and LeChuck's Revenge remains one of the genre's high points. A loving treatment of a classic.

Classic adventure game of yesteryear

Everything in the game is designed to piss you off. The joke is always on the player. Adventure games typically encourage exploration with the world, this was extremely off putting. Even more so than the first in the series.

A série da Ilha dos Macacos fez parte de minha infância. Apesar disso, esse era o único jogo da franquia que eu ainda não tinha jogado até o final (joguei bastante o primeiro e o terceiro na infância). Comparado com o primeiro, esse é bem mais complexo, com uma história maior, cheia de piadas no meio (algumas estão bem datadas devido a ter sido um jogo de 1991) mas ainda é bem divertido. Para quem gosta de point & click é certamente um ótimo jogo. As músicas também são sensacionais.
