knock off civilization but worse
Do yourself a favour. Do anything else Boot up Civ 5 again. Hell, even Civ Beyond Earth. There's some cool ideas in there, right? ... This game contains 1 good idea, the economy. It's essentially several pipelines that feed into each other resulting in better value from your land. Only, you can only construct this on your city's territory, not on your land, like Civ 5 tile improvements. The second you get into any war, these places and your external towns are immediately targeted. It will take *hundreds* of turns to regrow into this. Cities can be razed in 1 turn. If you do not pick the war options you suck at war so unbelievably bad that regardless of the amount of other ♥♥♥♥ you have, there is NOTHING you can do. You will die. Millennia is an exercise in carrot and stick gameplay. The carrot is small, a simple gameplay loop with some new ideas to keep it fresh. The stick is labelled "Crusader" and has a 3x bonus against all other units, and is able to beat mustketmen, grenadiers, and tier 7 leaders, in a single attack. After settling a castle on your border and shooting your units while you are at peace with them. Oh and you get a government option that gives +575% output from vassals, or the option to pick republic, giving you two things: ♥♥♥♥, and all. Do not play Millennia.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I 200% recommand with no hesitation Despite paradox not updating the game anymore I enjoyed every single bit of it and i probably (99%) will play it again in the future with no mods, i enjoyed it almost as much as civ VI, both vanilla and very heavily modded The game is not flawless, it is not perfect The graphisms can be a slight bit unappealing, and there are indeed some bugs and performance issues, but when playing graphisms where not really that bad (i could even say i enjoyed them quite much) , and i managed to play multiple games without bugs or performance issue that caused me to loose or to end up in a very bad situation (In the 172 hours you can see i played) . On labtop, even when i started downloading mods. Not that i had none, it happened sometimes, but most of the time it is fine and pleasant to play. If you expect a perfect game, you will be disappointed But is you expect a good game in which you can spend the entire day before you realise it, you will find the perfect 4X game. Do not expect perfection, but expect loads of fun, with very unique ideas, that have NOT been tried by other studios, and very high replayability. And before seeing the negative reviews, try looking at how long they played before reviewing. I did not but i'm ready to bet most of them did not play a long time before giving trashtalking reviews.
游戏很好玩,未来可期
Not quite as pretty as Civ VII but they've got a great game with only 2 Expansions via season pass and incredible game play. I've bought Civ III through VI and I won't be getting Civ VII. This is better.
If you enjoy Civ and want some freshness to the genre this is the game for you
Too many crashes and freezes, and otherwise just slow performance. A lot of ideas in this game seem cool at first but end up boiling down into tedium. I respect that they were bold with what they tried to do though, and maybe they could still salvage the game with some more work?
