It's a lot of fun but I got lost a lot. After wandering through several lands I forgot where to go and there was no clear map or instructions how to go further. But overall it was a lot of fun to play.
I miss these kind of games. Not full of graphical shiny stuff, but a game made to the point, focussing on dungeon crawling, leveling, exploring the map, finding secrets, and trying to figure out what areas you can tackle and what areas just kill you instantly., Combined with a quick and easy, yet hard to master combat system. With good puzzles and riddles that don't hold your hand. Not the instant gratification reward structure mainstream games have. The game is a very focused experience, yet with enough content to explore, find interesting things and long term goals such as "Where do I get the key or password to enter this dungeon part". Imho it's an art to make a game compressed to the essentials like this. Friendly advice: Don't choose warrior difficulty for your first run. There are no respecs and no reskills. Mistakes carry on. The higher difficulty won't allow you to experiment. Overall, I wish more games like this and Grimrock 1 & 2 would exist. Not 500 dots, 500 hots and 1000 dd spells. But well defined classes with their own specific spells and skills that walk the thin line between RPG and party management / strategy.
Puro suco do rpg old school dungeon crawler
Combat was initially fun but got stale quick and the story was utterly forgettable. There are way better RPGs out there.
(I have completed this game multiple times on the Ubisoft Connect version.) While not a perfect merger of the Xeen and Enroth eras of the series, it's still a very solid world crawler in a time when such a thing is relatively rare. Skill selection is a bit more restrictive than I'd like, making some classes clearly more desirable than others, but it's still fun to try out different parties, and many of the rules can be easily modified to your taste. Warrior mode is also more demanding than you might expect. Do make sure to check out the AcidCave mod, which fixes a number of outstanding issues. Unless you specifically want to play (or make) mods for the Steam version, though, there's really no reason to buy it here instead of from Ubisoft. Most mods will work with both, and you'll have to use their launcher either way.
Love this game
Most of the time the game crashes. It's an older game, so I don't know why. But over half the game doesn't even start up. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
