I played the game blind not expecting much but didn't expect myself to get so hooked into the story. The music, the ambiance, the coziness, and the sadness. This game incorporates so many things that I like in a game. The game had me cutting onions from time to time, it isn't too drawn out, yet fleshes all the existing characters personality perfectly, so that you can understand their traits well, making them feel more closer to you. If I want to talk more about it, it will be in spoilers territory. So I'll leave it at that. This is definitely a recommend if you like cozy games, with well thought-out storylines. 9/10 for me I want the sequel now T_T.
This game truly triggered my tears.
it's such a good game with well writing story. Nice art style (with just few AI pics). You can beat it in about 3-4 hours. The cooking system is a bit of a letdown, I really wish there was an Endless mode just for the cooking.
Story-wise, I’d personally rate this game an 8/10. it’s genuinely intriguing. There were moments that caught me off guard, and a few scenes even left me light tears. The sequence where you’re making ramen, paired with the background music, felt especially calming and immersive. The game does touch on some sensitive topics, but it never becomes overwhelmingly intense to the point where I had to step away, which I appreciated. That said, the ending felt a little rushed. While the true ending gave me a sense of relief and emotional closure, I can’t help but feel that sticking with the normal ending might have been more impactful and realistic, carrying a stronger emotional weight. Overall, the game shows a lot of potential, especially in expanding its backstories. There’s room to dive deeper into the characters’ experiences and really explore what they’ve gone through. I just wish the gameplay had been longer and allowed for a stronger connection with the characters, because I truly enjoyed the experience.
I laughed, I cried, I made ramen. What more can you ask for in a game?
made me cry so hard i couldn't breathe. 10/10
I bought this game looking for a cozy cooking experience, but stayed for the gripping story. I cried more than once, which I honestly didn’t expect going in. This is a hidden gem. It has a lot more depth than it first lets on, with a superb story and characters whose experiences feel real and easy to connect with. There’s also this nice, warm feeling throughout the whole game that makes it really comforting to play. Highly recommend.
