Phenomenal. An absolute gem of a strategy game. Decisive Campaigns is engaging, challenging, fun, deep and very rewarding. I will be putting a lot of hours into this one.
Another great offering from Matrix Games. The most recent update has overhauled the AI a bit, so that the highest level of AI could hand your ass, especially if you make a mistake: the AI caught my tanks in the open with their devastating air attacks. I really recommend this wargame which straddles the line between operational and tactical.
It is a good game but it can only be played solo. The PBEM version is only sold on the Matrix site something the developers never informed the steam customers. It is a disgusting deceptive tactic designed to drive customers to the Matrix site. For that reason I am giving this game a negative review.
awesome, it has smaller scale engagements too
Super immersive and detailed although presentation can come over as dry in the beginning. I usually spend well over an hour on a single turn on the smallest maps. So much to consider, and every battle is a nailbiting experience (albeit mostly in your head). My only gripe so far is, that the GUI could use a few more tooltips here and there to get more information on what's what and how it's calculated. Nevertheless, I see myself spending countless hours on this game. 9/10 and a must-buy for any grognard out there. And you can get it to run on macOS using Porting Kit which is a great boon.
Extremely detailed in its treatment of units, with the ability to create battlegroups/Kampfegroups very easily. Not for the casual gamer.
VIc\s game never disappoint. I had slept on this game for over two years as i had been busy with shadow empire, but finally playing this making me realise what i have missed. While both are VR design games and shared some commonality, this game has much smaller scale which allowed Vic to introduce a lot new interesting features that have big impact on the tactical levels, like direct fire, LoS, uncertain hex control etc. Also features like recon that also existed in SE become much more granular and indepth here at 1km hex. I only wish the UI could make use of my ultrawide screen more effectively with the side bar... but that is the only gripe i have
Absolutely recommend any of the Decisive Campaign games - great PC wargames with an unique instructive depth
Great Game...Fine nitty gritty...you will be soaked in detail...(and none of that political B.S. to contend with.}
