In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.

Metro 2033 Redux was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere, story, and world-building still hold up incredibly well, and it does a great job pulling you into the harsh reality of life beneath Moscow. If you're planning to play the next Metro game coming this February, this is an essential game to experience first. It introduces the world, the characters, and the events that make the later entries much more meaningful. Whether you're new to the series or coming back for another playthrough, Metro 2033 Redux is absolutely worth your time. I highly recommend it.

Una joyita
If you have only heard about the game series, this is a decent shooter. If you have read the book this game is based on, you're gonna be a bit disappointed with how things were changed. The novel is a slow and deeply philosophical journey where Artyom actively avoids killing. The game completely flips this aspect, while also cutting out a lot of lore and things from the book entirely. That being said, the atmosphere is perfect, navigating through claustrophobic tunnels while constantly thinking about gas mask filters and ammo looks and feels exactly like how you'd imagine them while reading through the novel. The mutants are disgustingly creepy as well, genuinely have gotten jumpscared a few times during my playthrough. Even if it's a bit dated and not a 100% faithful adaptation of the book, i'd say it's still worth playing if you get it for less than 5 euro whenever it goes on sale.
"If it's hostile - you kill it" - Peak story telling.
